We Should All Be Rooting for the Golden State Warriors
If you haven’t noticed, the Golden State Warriors v. San Antonio Spurs series has been fascinating. And, we’re only two games in to it. It is not because it involves the Spurs. Let’s face it; these are the same old boringly-consistent Spurs that keep on winning with the core of Duncan, Parker, Ginobili and Poppovich. Since the 01-02 season, they have won at least 50 games every...
Top 10 reasons why the Brookly Nets aren't bringing PJ Carlesimo back
Oh Noes
10) It's been a solid six months since they ran the last coach off, so by the historic standards of the franchise, they were due
9) It's making their negotiations to bring in Latrell Sprewell to work as a PR consultant awkward
8) Didn't show the coaching acumen required to make Brook Lopez rebound or play defense
7) Gerald Wallace's jumper shows that any...
NBA Shockers
One closet door flew off its hinges when an active player said, "I'm a 34-year-old NBA center. I'm black. And I'm gay."
The last sentence defines the sort of fan you are.
You either react in horror and break out a bible verse, or wish Jason Collins the best for next season.
How would Portland fans react if he made his announcement to the Oregonian...
Knicks Set to Party Like It’s 1999-2000
By Ralph Guerrero @ralphguerrero
Charlie Ward, Latrell Sprewell and Chris Childs. If you’re a Knicks fan over the age of 25, these names probably ring a bell.
Andrew “Clubber” Lang, Rick Brunson and the world-renowned Mirsad Turkcan are names that likely do not.
Allan Houston, Patrick Ewing, Kurt Thomas, Larry Johnson and Marcus Camby all currently play some role in the...
Carmelo’s 50 and Other Memorable Knick Offensive Explosions
By Charles R. Trimble III
After hearing whispers that the Knicks were better off without him, Carmelo Anthony has quieted that talk by catapulting his game to a level not seen around here since the days of Bernard King. His recent 131-point explosion against the Heat, Hawks and Bucks brought back memories of some of the greatest offensive performances ever by a Knickerbocker. Below...
If there were a need to fire somebody…now would be a good time
Remember when there was a time when former Indiana Hooiser head coach Bobby Knight would bully his players and the faculty at the school so bad that they were afriad to fire him? Do you remember how much everyone outside the school use to think what boorish behavior and that it was just him(Knight)? he was the exception not the rule, yet other coaches stood by him even when he throw...
P.J. Carlesimo Says he Doesn’t Know why Latrell Sprewell Choked him
I was kicking it in the Caribbean when the infamous P.J. Carlesimo, Latrell Sprewell choke-gate controversy went down 15 years ago. It obviously left a lasting impact on the NBA and I say that because I’ve heard about it so many times that I feel like I was there.
And why wouldn’t it? It’s not every day that a player assaults his coach, and for no apparent reason except that...
KG vs. Duncan: Who’s had the better career?
When I first considered this comparison, the answer was clear: Duncan is the better player. He has been the most consistent and fundamentally solid player in the last 20 years. But as I thought about it, I realized Garnett is dynamic in a way that Duncan has never been and will never be. Duncan will hit 8 out of 10 hook shots off the backboard, but he will never be the rebounding...

What the Hell Happened to...Marcus Webb?
If I were to tell you there was a former Celtic who while playing, one day aspired to raise hogs and chickens in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama, you may think I was lying. If I told you that said player was on the injured list at one point while on the Celtics with a broken thumb that came as a result of cracking his knuckles, you would probably also think I was lying (or...
