Redskins Off To Smart Start In Free Agency
This is going to sound weird, so maybe have a seat, but the Washington Redskins are off to a promising, smart start to the NFL’s free agency period. Yesterday news emerged that the Skins have agreed to terms with four key players: left guard Kory Lichtensteiger, tight end Logan Paulsen, fullback Darrel Young and linebacker Rob Jackson.
Each player gives the team valuable skill...

Redskins resign Darrel Young
After resigning TE Logan Paulsen to a three year deal, the Redskins have made RB Alfred Morris a happy man as well. The Redskins signed FB Darrel Young, Morris' lead blocker, to a three year deal reportedly worth 6.2 million.
Young was signed originally as an Undrafted linebacker, but converted to fullback. Young took over full time fullback duties last season, beating...

Redskins sign TE Logan Paulsen
TE Logan Paulsen, a restricted free agent, has agreed to a 3-year deal to remain with the Washington Redskins. It makes sense to sign RFA's whenever possible because a multi-year contract can be made more cap-friendly than the RFA tender. We don't have the details on Paulsen's contract yet, but odds are high that it is cap friendly for the Redskins.
Paulsen set...
Report: Washington To Sign TE Logan Paulsen To A Three-Year Deal
Joel Corry is reporting that the Washington Redskins are signing TE Logan Paulsen to a three-year contract extension.
Paulsen, 26, was reportedly a priority for the Redskins this offseason and, clearly, that appears to be the case. He was a restricted free agent, but Washington elected to work out a long-term versus applying a tender that most likely would have required one-year...

Redskins still need to free up more than $13 million in cap room
According to Rich Tandler of CSNWashington.com, the Redskins will need to free up over $13 million in cap room for this coming season. With the announcement that the 2013 salary cap would be $123 million, the Redskins, assuming that they will be unable to appeal or sue their way into regaining their penalized $18 million in salary cap space, are technically about $3 million over...

After trying to gut through a right knee injury for most of Sunday's wild card playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III left the game and did not return following a non-contact injury with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter.
On second-and-22 from his own 12-yard line and the Redskins trailing 21-14, Griffin's knee buckled...

NFC Wildcard: Seahawks vs Redskins Recap
Seahawks: 24
Redskins:14
A bittersweet end to a season that the Redskins can only hold their heads up high about. But the injury to RG3 is cause for some great concern.
The Skins came out red hot, with RG3 showing no signs that the knee injury would slow him down. Although limping, RG3 appeared agile and on point as he connected with receivers has he threw the ball in for an early...

Chris Cooley, Blocking Tight End?

– 7 games
– 79 snaps
– 2 targets
– 0 catches
That’s kind of odd for the most prolific pass-catching tight end in franchise history, no? Meanwhile, Logan Paulsen and Niles...

The 5th Quarter: Redskins 31 Eagles 6
IT WAS OVER WHEN... The extra point put the Redskins up 31-6 with 10:35 left in the game.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING... Both...

Paulsen working continually to get better
Before the Redskins visited the Giants in Week 7, tight end Logan Paulsen had exactly zero catches in six games this season. During his three-year career, Paulsen had 13 catches for 148 yards in 33 games. So it was extremely unlikely that the blocking specialist was going to suddenly develop into a receiving threat. However, starting tight end Fred Davis, who had caught more passes...
