The Tennessee Titans sign Marques Douglas
The Titans have signed 33-year old DE Marques Douglas. Douglas played in all 16 games for the Jets last season and he had 64 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble. He has now played in 120 games in his NFL career and he has 436 tackles, 10 passes defensed, 20.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles. This was a good signing for the Titans as Douglas knows all the tricks and he will help...

Titans add defensive lineman
The Tennessee Titans, perhaps searching for depth for their defensive line, signed free-agent DL Marques Douglas. To make room for him on their 53-man roster, the team waived DT Amon Gordon.Douglas, 33, recently worked out for the Titans. The defensive lineman has played most of his career in the 3-4 defense, but Tennessee plays a 4-3, so he might get time at end and tackle.-- Adam Caplan

Rams continue to evaluate roster
The St. Louis Rams, who have been dealing with injuries on the interior of their defensive line, worked out three defensive linemen earlier this week, a source confirmed.
DT Jay Alford, who played for Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo when Spagnuolo was defensive coordinator for the New York Giants, got a look. Alford also has worked out for the Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers...

Titans workout DE Marques Douglas, eventually sign DE Amon Gordon
The Titans need some help on the D-line, and Tuesday worked out former Ravens DE Marques Douglas. The team didn’t ink the vet, instead going with defensive tackle Amon Gordon
The team tried out Gordon as well as fullback Joel Gamble, who was signed to the practice squad, as well as fullback Jerome Johnson, running back Ian Johnson and defensive end Mike Montgomery.

ASK MIKE: Do the Miami Dolphins have enough experience?
Thanks for all the questions. Keep ‘em coming.
Q: The Dolphins are missing a mix of veterans and youth. Too little experience on this team. Guys like Charles Grant, Marques Douglas, and J.T. should still be in town. They also could have gotten Adewale [Oguleye] off the street to add some veteran depth. I am all for the youth movement, but you have to have a mix. You thoughts...

In a four day Dolphins daze
Sorry about the delay this week. I blacked out after my head was spinning for three days due to all the Dolphins moves.
But the one that happened off the field may be the most important.
Let’s start with the on-the-field stuff. So long Pat White, Patrick Turner, Charles Grant, Marques Douglas and everybody else.
Poor White, there’s rumours he may not get picked up...

Game Rewind: Cowboys 27, Dolphins 25
In cutting veteran defensive ends Charles Grant and Marques Douglas, both signed on the eve of training camp, the Dolphins didn’t just chase off players with a combined 18 years of NFL experience on a single Sunday afternoon.
They also showed uncommon faith in rookie DE Jared Odrick, the first-round pick out of Penn State who has held down the starting right end role since Phillip...

Miami Dolphins claim four linemen
It appears the Miami Dolphins have opted to start rebuilding before the season even started.
A day after formulating their 53-man roster the Dolphins cut veteran defensive linemen Marques Douglas and Charles Grant, offensive linemen Cory Procter, and placed cornerback Will Allen on injured reserve.
Why did they abandon all four players, who served as insurance plans for 2010? Because...

Some Will Need to Go!
Early -on in the Training Camp and of course we must keep in mind the obvious datum: some will need to go.
The question is, who?
I will tender some ideas here but let me know your predictions on this for the Defense.
The first person that must go is a defensive lineman who has had a run-in with the Law recently and also an injury: Phillip Merling. He could go onto the PUP list or...

Progression or Regression: Dolphins defensive line
The Miami Dolphins went into this offseason fully committed to a youth movement, which explains why the powers that be avoided progress stoppers – their term, not mine – like they had the plague.
But desperate times call for desperate measures. That’s the best way to explain why the Trifecta has added three aged, and formerly out of work defensive linemen over...

Dolphins Sign Charles Grant
The Miami Dolphins have added former 1st round pick and New Orleans Saint DE Charles Grant to the roster. The 32 year old DE has never played in a 3-4 scheme but is expected to battle for the spot left vacant by Phillip Merling who is lost for the season.
The Dolphins apparently were not scared away by Grant’s history that includes a league substance abuse violation and an...
