The Mets and Mike Lamb have agreed to a minor league deal. Lamb gives the Mets depth in their minor league system, and could be called up if someone goes down. He is a career .277 hitter in 936 career games. This story was approved by MLB Rumors.

According to the Tribune the Cubs are interested in signing Mike Lamb to a minor league deal. Lamb was pretty good with the Astros in 2004, 2006 and 2007, but was horrific with the Twins last year. He can play 1st and 3rd.
