Mike Mussina and Pedro Martinez are in love with themselves for not cheating. "You're a real man among boys, Mussina. I ought to warn you though: You and Pedro should not to pat yourselves on the back so hard. You're risking injury, which is particularly foolish in your...

If you didn’t hear, Mike Mussina was in the news last week as CC Sabathia attempted to duplicated Mussina’s 20-win season. Sabathia missed out on 20 wins, and Mussina remained the last Yankee to reach that feat for at least one more year. Here’s what the Moose had to say: "...

"There are a lot of other people out there with a lot of other ideas. I appreciate Joe coming in, starting new, and giving me the opportunity to get back out there and do what I've been doing," [Mussina] said yesterday after pitching two innings in an intrasquad game at Legends Field.

On the mound, Mike Mussina didn't show much emotion. He never had the fire or flare of a superstar, and never struck most Yankee fans as the type of stopper they expected to have for a guy making $19 mil a year in the final seasons of his then-monster contract. Perhaps it's the [...]

Woke up a little early this morning and came across this article on SI.com by John Donovan. It's a great article about Mike Mussina and his tenure in pinstripes. If you're a Moose fan, or are a baseball fan that doubts just how good Moose really is/was (hey it's still not...

The Yankees are in forth place. Their season is over and the focus is turning away from this season, but there is still one more reason to watch. Mike Mussina.

Mike Mussina made a deal with Joe Girardi that if he got 10 wins the ice cream could return to the clubhouse. Moose won that 10th game when he was on the road and now that the Yankees are back home he can enjoy. Once he reaches 12 wins the doughnuts return and at 15 the candy comes back.

Mike Mussina, who has pitched with the Yankees since 2001, may be on his way out of the Bronx, but not out of New York. Veteran pitchers have always had success pitching in the National League because of weaker lineups, and Mussina might intrigue some teams because of it. The Mets...
