Kaeding's Gone Where He Can't Hear the Boos
No, I’m not talking about Kaeding’s Wikipedia entry that was altered to say he attempted suicide. I’m talking about this animated GIF here. Look at that stare. That’s the look of a man who’s far, far away from the boos that will rain down on him forever more. I know that look. I’ve seen it before. [...]

Nate Kaeding Out for the Year with Torn ACL: Chargers in Need of a Kicker
Nate Kaeding was diagnosed with a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the regular season with the injury. This means that the Chargers are now in the running for a new kicker. Tough blow for the special teams for the Chargers as Kaeding is one of the best kickers in the league.
I don’t think this will hurt the Chargers TOO bad, but replacing a stud is not easy. If they can get...

Chargers Give Young Kicker A Contract
Chargers.com released a bit of mild news after the signing of kicker Nick Novak. The contract was just for a year and would not be very noteworthy to me if Nate Kaeding hadn’t missed three field goals during last seasons playoff game against the Jets. Yes, I am still pretty mad about that.
I’m not saying he is being brought in to replace or threaten Kaeding, though sometimes...

Nate Kaeding
SAN DIEGO (AP)—Nate Kaeding knows he has no choice but to move forward.
It’s been a somewhat painful six months for Kaeding, who missed three field goal attempts in the San Diego Chargers’ embarrassing 17-14 playoff loss to the New York Jets.
They were hardly the only pratfalls that day for the one-and-done Chargers. Still...

San Diego Chargers K Nate Kaeding out with ACL tear
During the 2010 season, the San Diego Chargers held the statistical number one position for the top offense and top defense but they struggled with special teams play. This season, the Chargers addressed that poor play with the hiring of Special Teams coach Rich Bisaccia, formerly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This afternoon however, the Chargers special teams play for the 2011...

Updated player rankings: Kickers
1. Nate Kaeding, San Diego: Kaeding finished just 14th in fantasy scoring among kickers last season, as the Chargers offense provided him seven fewer field goal opportunities and 11 fewer extra point tries. But he was the top fantasy kicker in 2009, and there’s no reason to think San Diego’s offense won’t bounce back.

Nate Kaeding is the best kicker in NFL. Period. During the regular season he was an ice-water-for-veins sniper armed with a 36″ long right leg, keen targeting, and a catapult hidden in an undersized black kickers’ shoe.
The nickname “Mr Automatic” was quite common synonymous with Kaeding around the Big 10 when Kaeding kicked for Iowa. Groza award winner and...
