Random Athlete Of The Day- Pat Garrity
Sharp-Shooter Pat Garrity originally from Las Vegas, but attended the sinless University of Notre Dame University. He definitely fits the criteria of the Fighting Irish big man. He averaged a double-double every year, and dominated his senior year with over 23 ppg. He was drafted 19th overall to the Milwaukee Bucks, but was then traded to the Mavericks along with Dirk Nowitzki, but...

Strong Of Heart: Pat Garrity
After a stellar four-year career at Notre Dame and eight years in the NBA, Pat Garrity began to think about life after basketball. He had seen plenty of players in the league retire and either drift aimlessly or become involved in business ventures about which they had no experience or understanding.

STEAL OF A DEAL
The five worst trades in NBA history
Tweet
Trades in the NBA have a more profound effect on the organization than in any of the other professional sports. Whether the trades involve one player or several teams, the organizations need to evaluate the talent and decide what is best for the team.
When a trade is successful, it can lift a team into the postseason or help secure a championship. If a trade turns...

Line of the Night (10/16): Dirk Nowitzki
Back in 1998, the Milwaukee Bucks drafted a skinny 20 year-old kid out of Germany named Dirk Nowitzki and immediately traded him to the Dallas Mavericks for Robert “Tractor” Traylor and Pat Garrity. The Bucks never had any intention of keeping Nowitzki; at that point, the Mavs were on the forefront of foreign scouting and [...]

Jason Kidd.
With the second pick in the 1994 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks selected California guard Jason Kidd to run their offense that featured Jimmy Jackson and Jamal Mashburn. Bucks make biggest move in trade, not draft
The Milwaukee Bucks made another big trade just before the draft. Now they must hope the name they'll be linked with forever doesn't come back to haunt them.
Milwaukee picked guard Jimmer Fredette with the 10th pick of Thursday's NBA draft, but were expected to send his rights to Sacramento as part of a three-team trade that also includes Charlotte.
The Bucks' big acquisitions...

Robert Traylor, 1977-2011
I first saw Robert Traylor play when he was a senior in high school playing for an AAU team called “Team Michigan” (along with Kevin Garnett, Mateen Cleaves and others) in a Cage Classic Tournament at Solon that our friend Sam Sneeda was playing in, and at the time I’d never seen a guy so big move that way. A paragon of evolution, really, because when Traylor was...
