PULLMAN – Patrick Simon, a diehard Washington State fan while growing up in Ephrata, had only good things to say about WSU when he chose to transfer after last season to seek more playing time. And so far, so good at his new school. That's not the case for former WSU tight end Aaron Dunn, who left Pullman to pursue basketball at Western Washington.

PULLMAN -- Heartbreaking doesn’t even begin to describe this one. But perhaps no one feels worse than sophomore forward Patrick Simon. His shot at a go-ahead 3-pointer did not even hit the rim, but coach Ken Bone said there was no issue with Simon taking that shot.
