I'm pretty stunned. I was sure that if Forsberg would return this season, it would be for the Flyers (they are still ahead of the Avalanche in the standings). I would say the 10-game winning streak and the recent injuries to Gagne and Richards was a serious factor.

It looks like Peter Forsberg is returning to the NHL. TSN.ca, citing a story in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, reports that Forsberg has declined to sign with Modo, an Elite Team in Sweden's pro league. The move clears the way for a return to the United States.
