There's nothing hyperbolic about claiming that the next two days are the most important in the 16-year NHL commissionership of Gary Bettman. He's trudged through labor stoppages and catastrophes large and small, but in every instance the NHL had some recourse to force a resolution...

Well, another game, another ineffective power play, another weak performance by veterans, another short-handed goal against, another loss, another 2 points the Rangers will be missing come late-March, early-April. Who's fault is it?? The GM who assembled the team? Partly. Wade...

Well, Lauri Korpikoski was recalled. This is most likely a good thing for the Rangers, but it does (re)create some problems for the team. First, the good. Remember when Nigel Dawes and Ryan Callahan struggled last season? For Dawes, it was his defense. For Callahan, he never regained...

Jeez, do they really miss Blair Betts that much? I will be quick tonight. Since the Rangers didn't show up to play, I shouldn't show up to write much about it. Nigel Dawes and Petr Prucha were the only highlights today, although Henrik Lundqvist didn't play bad. He just...

This was a strange NHL trading deadline. I was a little disappointed in the lack of big name players changing uniforms. In total, 22 trades (involving 47 players) were completed. And the biggest name that was traded (Olli Jokinen) has never played in a playoff game in his 10-year career.
