Burgess was cut from injured reserve, according to Aaron Wilson.
The special teams ace had been cut before the season started before being brought back by the Ravens. The Ravens then waived him and brought him back again. He was then placed on injured reserve before this latest development.
The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed 26-year old LB Edgar Jones. Jones played in 5 games for the Ravens last year and he had 2 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. Jones has now played in 32 games in his first four years with the Ravens and he has 19 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 1.5 sacks. He will assume Prescott Burgess’ spot on special teams, while giving the Ravens depth at LB.

Jones had been with the Ravens in previous seasons, but signed with the Washington Redskins this preseason before being released.

* Center Matt Birk, who was fined $5,000 earlier this season, has won his appeal, according to multiple sources. Birk won't have to pay his fine.
