A Decade of Drafting-2006
Due to popular request, I'm expanding my look at the Colts' drafts to include some other teams. Each day, we'll look how the Colts, Steelers, Patriots, Eagles and Ravens drafted this decade. We'll start with the year 2000. I'm ranking the teams based on this criteria: would you trade one entire draft for another? The team whose draft you would...

Sypniewski has surgery; not a big deal
Tight end Quinn Sypniewski has had a minor clean-up procedure on his injured knee, but the surgery will not impact his availability this season for the Ravens.

Questionable depth at tight end
Many fans have directed their concerns at the Ravens’ wide receivers and offensive line. But keep an eye on their tight ends.
The Ravens seem set on their top two tight ends, even though both have something to prove. Todd Heap is trying to rebound from a disappointing season. L.J. Smith, who knows about his injury-prone label, has been sidelined for offseason camps and most of...

Ravens Waive Sypniewski
As players and coaches descended to Westminster, Md., for the start of Ravens training camp, the team waived tight end Quinn Sypniewski. The former fifth-round draft pick out of the University of Colorado was coming off a year spent entirely on Injured Reserve, and an offseason setback to the recovery of his surgically-repaired knee didn’t help matters.

Bad Times For Ravens Tight Ends
It’s been a rough go for the Ravens’ tight ends. Todd Heap has been held out of all Organized Team Activities (OTAs) as his recovery from a back injury is taking longer than expected. Quinn Sypniewski is hobbling around Ravens headquarters in a massive knee brace because he recently had another surgery to attach a piece of bone in his left knee. And L.J. Smith, one of this year’s...
