NBA Association VP Roger Mason Jr. was a former teammate of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James. In a recent interview, Mason Jr. stated that LeBron and several other players were ready to boycott games next NBA season should Donald Sterling still be the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Apparently he spoke too fast because he has since back peddled on his statements.
Roger Mason Jr. said LeBron would boycott if Sterling was still the owner of the Clippers by next season, then he started backpedaling like Deion in his prime, pun intended. LeBron spoke on the issue directly and he is ok with everything for now. LeBron James says the NBA is progressing “good enough for now” to remove banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling from...
Absolute worst case scenario for the NBA right here. Fans of the Boston Celtics just went through a rebuild this season and it was a struggle, but at least there was compelling basketball to watch outside of New England. If LeBron makes good on this threat multiply that by 30 teams because the entire league will essentially enter rebuilding mode aka The Ice Age. If LeBron walked...
Roger Mason Jr. now says that LeBron James never mentioned boycotting
NBPA’s Roger Mason Jr. made a bold statement on the Jim Rome show about the status of LeBron James and other players in regards to Los Angeles Clippers “owner” Donald Sterling. Mason claimed that if Sterling were to remain owner of the Clippers franchise that LeBron James and other players were set to boycott...
Roger Mason Jr. knows we have video of this right……..
So, what in the blue hell is he talking about in these tweets?
Jim asked me about guys playing next season if Sterling remained an owner. I mentioned I spoke to LBJ as I speak to many players.

Back in April, the Golden State Warriors had a dramatic boycott planned for their playoff game against the Los Angeles Clippers had NBA commissioner Adam Silver not handed down an adequate punishment to Donald Sterling.
After Silver announced Sterling would be banned from the league for life, however, the game went on as planned, but now, the talk of boycotting is sprouting up again...
The NBA has been all business in punishing Donald Sterling, and a big reason for that is because they know the players have been watching the situation closely. The Golden State Warriors had elaborate plans to boycott Game 5 of their playoff series with the Clippers if Commissioner Adam Silver’s punishment didn’t satisfy them. Many […]
Donald Sterling’s ownership of the LA Clippers could be setting up for a flashpoint next season if the league doesn’t act quickly to dismiss him. At least that’s what NBA Player’s Union VP Roger Mason Jr. shared with Jim Rome. Mason said if Sterling is still an owner next season the player are willing to boycott games next NBA season, including LeBron James. “If...
NEW YORK, N.Y. — NBA players were prepared to boycott all three playoff games scheduled for Tuesday night, according to union vice president Roger Mason Jr.
Following the announcement of Donald Sterling’s lifetime ban and $2.5 million dollar fine by commissioner Adam Silver at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, the NBA players union held its own press conference where Mason Jr. said that players...
Tuesday afternoon, after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had finished his press conference announcing Donald Sterling’s lifetime ban, NBA Player’s Association Vice President Roger Mason released a statement saying that if Silver had been too lenient on Sterling, a plan (of sorts) was in place for all teams playing Tuesday night to boycott their respective games:
“I heard from...
The players, fans and media forced Adam Silver to do the right thing. I would hope he would have done the right thing any way, but if he had any doubt the players let it be known they were prepared to walk out.
NBA players were prepared to boycott Tuesday night’s playoff games if NBA commissioner Adam Silver did not ban Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and force him to...

This is quite silly, but here is how the story goes.
