Ryan Church made his debut with the Braves last night going 0-for-4 as the right fielder. The Braves hit him sixth in the lineup behind Garret Anderson and ahead of Brooks Conrad.
I found one note of the outing by Mark Bowman that well… I usual don’t mind Mark Bowman but...

It’s about mid-way through the season and the Mets are below .500. They have been riddled by injuries, like many teams in baseball, and have been unwilling to move a few of their top prospects in order to jump start their ballclub. But if you were to listen to sports radio in...

The more that Omar and Jerry deny that there is a rift between them and Ryan Church, the more apparent it becomes.
The Associated Press is reporting that the Mets have acquired outfielder Emil Brown from the San Diego Padres for a player to be named later.

Jose Reyes was finally put on the disabled list yesterday, five days after I said he should be. It’s the right move but I still wonder why general manager Omar Minaya waited and kept manager Jerry Manuel shorthanded for those five extra days. Especially in light of Ryan Church...

Tommy Hanson takes the mound for the Braves against the Nationals ace, Jon Lannan. There were a lot of lineup changes, but in the end it should be Nate McLouth out, Ryan Church in, Kelly Johnson out, Chipper Jones in, with Omar Infante back in the lineup at second.
Lineup...

According to ProSportsDaily, the Mets seem to be interested in Bobby Abreu. Last season with the Yankees, Abreu hit for an average of .296 with 20 home run's and 100 runs batted in.Abreu has at
least six teams interested in him, but he seems like a smart fit for
the Mets. Manny...

Oh those gritty, gutsy Mets. Did you ever think those words would be used to describe our favorite baseball team? Me either but yesterday’s 3-2 win over Cardinals a game Tony LaRussa managed the 8th inning like it was Game 7 of the NLCS (but it paid off for the stinking genius) was...

All right, so I've jumped the gun a little (the Mets are 21-17, giving them 38 games played, which means they're shy of the 1/4 season mark), but I haven't been too active on this blog and I'd like to get up to speed. Unofficially tied for first place with the Philadelphia...

When Ryan Church returns later this year -- if he returns later this year -- he may find a foreign situation awaiting him. Mets manager Jerry Manuel noted that much Wednesday, confirming that Church will no longer be his starting right fielder.
"When he does come back, we...
