Langerhans Goes Away
The M’s made it official this morning, designating Ryan Langerhans for assignment to make room for Mike Wilson on the roster. We figured it was either Bradley or Langerhans, and the team opted to keep Milton for now. That said, the clock on his tenure in Seattle is ticking, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Milton was the one to go when Gutierrez returns from the DL. ...

Ryan Langerhans and statistical oddities
Here we are, nearly one month into the season, and Ryan Langerhans continues to sit on one of those rare statistical oddities I figured I'd better bring up now before it vanishes forever.
Langerhans is the only player in MLB with an on-base-plus-slugging percentage (OPS) greater than .800 to also have a sub-.200 batting average. And believe me, that's not easy to do when...

All’s quiet on the Angels front, but I found something
I’ve wanted to write something about the Angels, but things have been rather quiet lately. I guess when a team spends over $350 million in one day, things were bound to slow down.
While there is nothing new happening…….What? Wait…This just in. Angels ink Ryan Langerhans, Eric Hurley and Robinzon Diaz to minor league contracts. Nothing to get excited about as these guys will...

Ryan Langerhans' Golden Sombrero
A golden sombrero is awarded to a player who manages to strike out four times in a single game (real golden sombrero not included). It's quite the feat unless you're Ryan Howard or Mark Reynolds. Unfortunately, no-hitters and Brian Wilson's beard are all the rage nowadays. Not for me, though. I will pour over the box scores to bring you the finest at swinging and missing...

Langerhans vs. Morse
