In the third period of last night’s 2-0 loss to the Panthers at TD Garden, Thomas booted out a Shawn Matthias shot, then placed the rebound in the net-front danger zone. Florida took advantage of Thomas’s rare misplay. Tomas Kopecky jammed the puck home at 17:28 for the game-winning goal.
