Gilbert Arenas Works Out for Lakers, Who Are Desperate for Impact Point Guard

The Starting Lineup: Blake Griffin Making His Foul Shots
Four games ago, Blake Griffin changed up his routine at the stripe. Rather than catching the ball and shooting it–something you want to do in many situations, but not at the freethrow line–he now takes three rhythm dribbles. Griffin has attempted 27 freebies since making the change. He’s made 22 of them… about 81.5%. It’s a pretty small sample...

Lakers on the road to a better away record?
They won three and they lost three.
So what was the verdict for the Lakers' season-long six-game road trip that ended with a 94-92 victory in Toronto on Sunday?
"Could've been better, could've been worse," Lakers forward Pau Gasol said.
The Lakers came into the trip 2-7 on the road, so going 3-3 is in that sense a major step forward. But at 5-10 on the road...

Gilbert Arenas Teaming Up with Kobe in Los Angeles?
Rumor has it that the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in signing free-agent point guard, Gilbert Arenas. The Lakers could definitely use an upgrade at point guard over Steve Blake and Derek Fisher, especially after the two got burned by Jeremy Lin last night.
Actually, the whole season, they have been getting pummeled by opposing teams’ point guards. They are younger, more...

Steve Blake Out 3-4 Weeks
Steve Blake has a costochaondral fracture (fracture of the cartilage that connects the rib to the sternum) and he'll miss three to four weeks. This is a tough blow to the Lakers bench and flow. Blake was shooting decently this season, about 51% eFG and the Lakers are already weak at the point. How will the Lakers rotation change without Blake?

Senior Steve Blake and freshman John Gilchrist got into a skirmish on July 2, 2002 during a pickup game following Gary Williams Basketball Camp. It took a mere 9 years for someone to finally release the fight tape. By no means did the short...

Exit-Evaluations: Steve Blake
It was supposed to be a match made in heaven. Steve Blake looked like the perfect guard for the triangle offense. A smart, unselfish player who was a dead eye shooter when launching off the catch. Unfortunately, things never quite worked out the way everyone had hoped.
