With senior safety D.J. Swearinger out of last week's game against Missouri due to a helmet-to-helmet hit in the UAB game the week before, freshman T.J. Gurley stood in and had a solid game. T.J. Gurley will be making the first start of his career Saturday afternoon when seventh-ranked South Carolina hosts Missouri in an SEC showdown. Gurley will be replacing the emotional leader of the Carolina defense, D.J. Swearinger, who was suspended Monday for a helmet-to-helmet hit in Saturday's game against UAB.
