This would undoubtedly get their hopes up it was an NFL team, only to find out it was one of their buddies from back home. This is a hilarious idea, but...

Kansas City TE Tony Moeaki has some friendly advice prior to 2013 NFL Draft
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki has some prankster advice for the 2013 NFL Draft.
Chiefs 4 Days to #1: Tony Moeaki
With just a few days until the Chiefs are officially on the clock, it’s become clear that, if this offense is going to leap forward, it needs production from the tight end position. But in KC, veteran Tony Moeaki has yet to live up to his lofty draft status. So what gives?
Chiefs OT Branden Albert A No-Show To Team's Mini-Camp
The Chiefs were one player away from having perfect attendance and perfect health Tuesday for the start of their three-day minicamp.
Left tackle Branden Albert, to no ones surprise, was the only no-show for the minicamp, which is technically voluntary. Albert indicated recently he is unhappy as the franchise player and wouldnt join the Chiefs until hes given some clarity...
Kansas City Chiefs sign TE Anthony Fasano
The Chiefs needed a #2 tight end with no depth behind Tony Moeaki, who is no sure thing, and Fasano, a solid blocker who can also contribute a little bit as a chain mover in the passing game, can serve in that role well. However, this is way too much money for a backup tight end. Fasano will get 16 million over the next 4 years with 4.5 million guaranteed. This is even worse than...
2013 Fantasy Football Tight End Targets
In a continuation of my last two pieces (WR targets & RB targets), I took a deeper look into some advanced metrics to determine some 2013 fantasy football tight end targets. The tight end position in 2012 was essentially 4 guys and then a whole crapload of up and down mediocrity. Finding guys who didn’t have the targets but performed well in up and coming offenses could end...
Tony Moeaki is Active
Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki (head) will play Sunday versus Denver.Fantasy Spin:After missing 2011-12 with a torn ACL, Moeaki has had a decent comeback season (31-432-1) considering the turmoil surrounding the Chiefs' passing game. However, he hasn't done enough to be relied upon as a TE2 Sunday.
Tony Moeaki is Questionable
Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki (head) is questionable Sunday after returning to practice on Friday.Fantasy Spin:After missing 2011-12 with a torn ACL, Moeaki has had a decent comeback season (31-432-1) considering the turmoil surrounding the Chiefs' passing game. However, he's not someone to trust in Week 17, even in two-TE leagues.
Chiefs Have 8 Players Miss Practice, Including LB Tamba Hali, RB Jamaal Charles
The Kansas City Chiefs injury report is out and a whopping eight players did not practice: Branden Albert, Jamaal Charles, Terrance Copper, Tamba Hali, Tyson Jackson, Ryan Lilja, Tony Moeaki and Donald Stephenson. 13 players in all are listed on the injury report this week as the Chiefs prepare for the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Charles, Hali and Stephenson were all sent home early...
Kansas City Chiefs: Week 15 NFL Power Rankings (#30)
Last week: 30 (+1)
Record: 2-11
Net points per drive: -0.96 (32nd)
DVOA: -39.7% (32nd)
Weighted DVOA: -35.6% (32nd)
The Chiefs would be in the 31st spot if I felt they would lose to the current #31 team, the Raiders, but I don’t. That would get them their 3rd win, before they most definitely lose out against Indianapolis and Denver.

AFC West Review: Using Football to Overcoming Tragedy

This article recaps all the action for the Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders.Carolina @ Kansas City A day removed from a terrible turn of events in which Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend...
Kansas City Chiefs: Week 12 NFL Power Rankings (#31)
Last week: 31 (+0)
Record: 1-9
I used to think the Chiefs were better than the Jaguars, but I don’t really think there’s any difference between the two now that Brady Quinn is going to be the Chiefs’ starting quarterback; in fact, the Jaguars might even be better if Chad Henne can establish himself as clearly better than Gabbert (he had a great game last week, but he’s known...
Week 12 Wavier Wire 'n' Flier's
QBChad Henne – Henne almost pulled off the impossible, a road win against the stout Houston Texans Defense. He threw for 354 yards and 4 TD’s in a close overtime loss to the Texans. Declared the week 12 starter, Henne returns home to Jacksonville to face a weak Tennessee Titans Defense. The Titans allow the 6thmost fantasy points, 2nd highest total of passing TD’s, 2ndhighest...
Steelers Defensive Coverage Stats Versus Chiefs – Week 10
Below are the coverage stats for the Pittsburgh Steelers following their 16-13 Monday night win against the Kansas City Chiefs. The completion percentage of 42%, minus the spike that is not included, matches that of the game against the New York Giants. Outside of the big play by Tony Moeaki, the yards after the catch numbers are not bad either. 10 catches is 10 catches with 2 being...

The Chiefs put tight end Kevin Boss on injured reserve with a head injury Wednesday after doctors determined they would not clear him to play the rest of the year.

AFC West prediction 2012
AFC West
Newcomers to the division and several players who return from injuries make the AFC West one of the more difficult divisions to prognosticate heading into the season. The division has long been tight and with three teams coming off 8-8 seasons and the fourth a close 7-9, this is no different. I think two teams get noticeably better this year and two stay the same or get...
New Series: Bold Prediction #8 – KC Leads NFL in Rushing behind JC Superstar and the Albino Rhino
The Chiefs 2011 season was derailed early on by injuries to RB Jamaal Charles (blew out his ACL in week 2), TE Tony Moeaki and CB Eric Berry. KC added Peyton Hillis this offseason and both he and Charles will look to return to their fantasy beastliness of 2010. Reports have surfaced that the Chiefs intend to get the 1-2 backfield punch in upwards of 500 touches - which would give...
