FINANCIAL MISMANAGEMENT
Ten athletes who went bankrupt
We live in a world where salaries and endorsement fees for athletes are sky-rocketing. The average opening-day salary for a baseball player this year was almost $3.5 million, up over a million dollars from a decade ago. And it wasn’t that long ago (1991) when the average salary finally broke $1 million. Now if you’re like me you’re probably thinking, man if I got...

Did the Redskins Really Just Lose to the Titans???
TITANS 25-REDSKINS 22 [Sportz this week 0-1, season 50-25]: Wow. I mean, this is about as disappointing as it can get. Wedged between games at the Giants and Colts, this was a must win. A must win against a team with a rookie QB and a team that hadn't won a game all year. Instead, the Redskins defense was embarrassed.....completely embarrassed. Travis Henry ran for nearly...

Travis Henry was arrested today on suspicion of cocaine dealing in a suburb outside of Denver. It is believed he was involved in a multikilogram cocaine transaction outside of a nightclub, but was caught by an undercover officer in the middle of the night. Travis Henry and marijuana just fit, folks
According to a FOX affiliate in Colorado, former Broncos' running back Travis Henry has tested positive again for the hippie juice and faces a possible one-year suspension from the NFL (again). Considering the Broncos produce 1,000-yard rushers like Henry produces babies, the team was wise to dump this clown when they did.

Was Travis Henry Ever Committed?
The story should not be that Mike Shanahan and the front office released Henry.
It should, instead, be why the Broncos even signed the troubled back to a lucrative long-term contract in the first place.
Previous signs of "lack of commitment" were evident well before Henry inked his 2007 free agent contract.

Broncos release Travis "The Baby Maker" Henry
The Denver Broncos released running back Travis Henry on Monday. Selvin Young will open training camp as the Broncos' No. 1 back.

Could Travis Henry return to the Titans?
Denver's decision to sign veteran free agent RB Michael Pittman yesterday could usher in the release of former Titan Travis Henry. Henry, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, may be expendable as a result of the acquisition of Pittman and the development of young RB's Selvin Young and Ryan Torain.
If last week is any indication, the Titans appear to be interested...

Mike Reinfeldt is OK with me
It was easy for Titans fans to be upset with new GM Mike Reinfeldt a year ago and I was among those voicing their displeasure.
The new GM had the temerity to place "dollar values" on players, as if calculating their worth as assets on a balance sheet. I was critical when the Titans lost their leading rusher and two leading receivers in free agency because other teams...
