Second Act

Tyler Matakevich wasn’t the highest recruited player in Temple’s 2012 class. But he certainly made the biggest impact. The linebacker ended up a freshman All-American and the Big East Rookie of the Year after leading the Owls with 101 tackles, including 67 solo stops. With a year of experience and hopefully a few more pounds on his frame, Matakevich is hoping to continue his progression.
