Here are yesterday’s minor league stats. 2 of the higher profile hitters in the low minors are starting off pretty well this spring – Breyvic Valeria and Charlie Tilson. Both had strong games again. Robert Stock pitched, giving up 1 run in 2+ innings; this will be a make or break season for Stock, who needs to show that he’s ready to take the next step as a hitter.

On Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals minor leaguers had five games against the Miami Marlins minor leaguers. All were on the Miami side of the complex except for Peoria 2’s game, which was on St. Louis’ diamonds, all at Roger Dean.

Cardinals minor league spring training notebook: 03/16/13
On Saturday, the St. Louis Cardinals minor leaguers had another camp day. When the Mets and Marlins face each other, the Cardinals have no one to play other then themselves. Springfield faced Memphis on Field 2 while Peoria 1 took on Palm Beach over on Field 5. The remainder of the Peoria players worked out on Field 3.
