Link: Rick Gosselin’s 4/18 Mock Draft
You can have your Kiper and you can keep your McShay, but there's one guy's Mock Drafts that I long await, Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News. Last week Gosselin looked at best player and in this his second, he leans to the 'need' side of the equation.

Raiders' Al Davis Intent On Drafting Darren McFadden? - GridironFans.com
ESPN's Bill Williamson reports there are "major rumblings" that Raiders owner Al Davis will take Darren McFadden with the No. 4 overall pick. If Lane Kiffin says Oakland doesn't need another tailback, Davis is probably thinking the exact opposite. Davis loves measurables, and other than Vernon Gholston, no one has better on-paper numbers than the Arkansas runner...

My Jets Wish List: Vernon Gholston to Not Be Irrelevent
I think it's pretty safe to assume that expectations for the #6 pick in an NFL draft are not 13 total tackles but that's exactly what Vernon Gholston gave the New York Jets last season. In essence Gholston was a complete non factor. He recorded zero sacks and the majority of his 13 tackles came on special teams. He was even inactive for multiple games including a 3 game stretch...

From: Newsday
Vernon Gholston, you’re on notice. For the second straight day, a Jets coach discussed in blunt terms the team’s top draft pick last year. After being introduced as coach Wednesday, Rex Ryan told Jets beat reporters that Gholston will have to “humble himself†and be open to coaching. “We hope he can be a [...]

Can Gholston Make an Impact in Year Two?
“I know one thing: He is going to be a major contributor for us.” -quote about Vernon Gholston taken from http://www.newyorkjets.com

Jets Finally Sign Victor Gholston
I hear he's not as freakishly athletic as Vernon Gholston, but he's certainly earned a freakishly-athletic contract.
It's bad enough that the headline spells out Victor when the name Vernon appears in the accompanying text; it's bad twice over when our esteemed copy editor[slash]headline writer labels him Victor in the photo caption.
I wonder if Victor has...

Davis likes Gholston
The New York Daily News is reporting that Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis now has his eyes on Vernon Gholston.  But like the rumor about Mr. Davis' interest in Darren McFadden, this rumor comes without a source.  So I'm not too confident about this news, but it is worth debating.Â
