Making the Grade: How did the defense fare?
Has the man in the hoodie lost his mojo?
The “Defensive Genius” has done little to earn that title the past few years, but 2011 may have been the worst yet.
It’s hard to believe that a decade ago the Patriots defense was ripe with talent. Guys like Ty Law, Richard Seymour, Willie McGinest and Tedy Bruschi led some ferociously tough and productive units to three Super Bowl...

Colts Win Puts Draft-Obsessed Fans In Their Place
Last night the Indianapolis Colts took Andrew Luck’s name out of everyone’s mouth for just a minute. They came back in the fourth quarter (in an admittedly horribly officiated game) to beat the Houston Texans 19-16. That ties the Colts in the win column with the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings at two.
For most of this season everyone has associated Andrew Luck...

Great Footage of a Happier Time
A new film from NFL Films releases today.
Two Minutes to Glory focuses on some of the great comebacks in NFL History, and not surprisingly the Colts feature prominently.
The movie is over 100 minutes long and includes most of the truly memorable drives in NFL history. I was especially glad to see my all time favorite non-Colts game included. There was great stuff from the epic...

Scout's Eye: Sitting down with ESPN/Scouts Inc.'s Matt Williamson
Let’s face it.
We’re spoiled.
Winning has become the expectation and the Patriots have rarely failed to disappoint.
Led by a once-in-a-lifetime quarterback and arguably one of the top five coaches of all time, the Patriots captured three Super Bowl titles in the past decade.
But those days of Willie McGinest, Tedy Bruschi and Ty Law making crunch time plays are long gone...

Former NFL Players Blast a Lazy Randy Moss
In seems like most former NFL player’s have the same opinion of Randy Moss: The dude was LAZY. In this video, former Bills receiver, Andre Reed, and Patriots linebacker, Willie McGinest, let us know how they feel about a retired Moss. They both reiterate the fact that Moss was almost uncoverable, but he also never put forth the effort to tap into his full potential.

Where’s the Beef?
If you’re a Colts’ fan, it’s been an age long question. The question is very simple, yet all Colts’ fans seem to have it. The question is where’s the beef?
Through the years, Colts’ fans have tossed and turned, often with sleepless nights (okay maybe not) wondering why we are so diminutive on both the offensive and defensive line. On the offensive...

Handling players with questionable behavior not always so difficult for the Patriots
Not so long ago, Willie McGinest, Rodney Harrison, Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi, et al, would make sure anyone who set foot in the Patriots locker room kept in line.
That torch has been passed now. Along with Tom Brady, the job has fallen to Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, Ty Warren. They are the keepers of the Patriot Way, and if someone of questionable character and behavior is brought...

Vrabel found NFL success -- and touchdowns
COLUMBUS, Ohio The way Willie McGinest remembers it, his former Patriots linebacker-mate Mike Vrabel basically begged the coaching staff for a chance at what became a second career as a touchdown pass-catching specialist.
With three Super Bowl wins in a four-year span and two touchdown catches in the Super Bowl, the history books will show that such begging worked out well. But...
