Gordon Beckham will be called up from AAA by the Chicago White Sox before Thursday's game. Beckham, the White Sox #1 draft pick in 2008, has been playing 3B since his recent promotion to AAA. Wilson Betemit is being designated for assignment to make room for Beckham.
