What I’d like to see Marvin Harrison do

The past week or two there has been some conversation re-emerge about Marvin Harrison. First SI writer Peter King said Harrison was done, citing Harrison’s age and bum knee. Then King was rebuffed when it was reported that Marvin wants to play in the 2009 NFL season. So if we believe the idea that Marvin is not going to retire and he does indeed want to play, that only leads to one question - where???
A couple friends have asked me the same question recently and my fiance and i talked...

Jarron Gilbert Pool Jump Video Is Fake, Unless It’s Not

The last post of the week: something to ponder as you await the certain couch slouch and booze binge of this weekend.
The time period from May to July is what we, in the biz, like to call statistical murder. As in–nobody is searching for information on Juaquin Iglesias post-draft, especially during Blackhawk playoffs, the start [...]

Rookie WR Iglesias Makes an Early Impact at Mini-Camp

The Bears got their first look at some of their new players today at their first mini-camp of the spring/summer. One player that seemed to draw raves was new wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias. The rookie took charge in 7-on-7 drills, at one point making a niffty catch over the middle. Iglesias seems [...]

Johnny Knox Brings More Than Just Speed

After drafting Juaquin Iglesias, you had to wonder how long they would wait to take another WR. The answer is not long at all. The Bears used their 140th pick to get Johnny Knox.

Juaquin Iglesias is the New Bear WR

With Rashad Johnson and Ramses Barden gone, Juaquin Iglesias is a good pick. He could have been a second round pick, so at the 99th he should be a nice steal.
Juaquin Iglesias 6′-1″ 210 lb Oklahoma Sooner, was a solid performer leading his team in receptions in ‘07(68) and ‘08(74). He projects to be a [...]

With the 35th pick in the 3rd round, #99 overall, the Bears select wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias out of Oklahoma. Iglesias was linked to the Bears in many pre-draft rumors. Iglesias brings some size to the position, checking in at 6′2″ and 195 lbs. Another pick right around the corner. Finally, someone for Cutler to throw to besides Hester!!!

Senior Bowl Week: What The World Learned

For those paying attention, the Senior Bowl happened today, and there have been practices all wee. The practices are considered to be the most important part, as it is easier to focus on individual players when they are doing tackling drills or 7 on 7 then it is to focus on them during the game. Here's what we learned that will affect the draft.

Boston College's B.J. Raji is the real deal.

Graham Harrell is going to be the next Texas Tech quarterback to flop

Harrell won't be alone though, since none of the other QB's in the senior class looked good either.

Micheal Oher is often inconsistent, but occasionally dominating. No longer the second best tackle in the draft.

Jason Smith is a lot more consistent, may be picked higher than Oher.

Juaquin Iglesias is very good.

The Senior Bowl itself is really, really boring.

The senior class is very underwhelming. If it wasn't for all the underclassmen declaring this would be a terrible draft.
