Alfredo Amezaga could be back

According to this report Alfredo Amezaga should be ready by spring training.

INF/OF Alfredo Amezaga (bone bruise on left knee) missed most of the season. He should be ready for spring training.

Here is the rub, Alfredo is still arbitration eligible. Though it is doubtful that he will command a higher salary than he received last season. ($1.3 million). If the club really believes that Bonifacio can replace him as the super utility man, which is a joke, then he may b...

Matt Lindstrom ahead of schedule

Apparently Matt Lindstrom is recovering quicker than anyone expected.

Matt Lindstrom indicated that he could resume throwing sooner than expected. Lindstrom, who has been on the disabled list since June 23 with a sprained right elbow, was examined again Monday.
Gonzalez initially said Lindstrom would not be permitted to throw for a minimum of four weeks, with a late-July return to the mound being the ''best-case'' scenario.
But there is a chance that Lindstrom ...

Marlins DL News

There is some news about a couple of the Marlins presently on the DL.

Alfredo Amezaga's recovery from a deep bone bruise in his left knee continues to go slowly. Gonzalez said that Amezaga, who has been on the disabled list since May 17, might not be ready to rejoin the Marlins until after the All-Star break in July.
Left-handed reliever Renyel Pinto, meanwhile, could be available by the weekend when the Marlins and New York Yankees play a three-game series at LandShark Stadium. P...

Gammons On Street, Amezaga, Tejada

It's a fantasy baseball show, but Peter Gammons discussed the trade market on ESPN's Fantasy Focus today. Here are his latest rumors:
The Red Sox like Ryan Spilborghs, but the Phillies and other teams are interested, too. Plus, the Rockies are looking much better under Jim Tracy, so they're not dealing yet.
The Angels have targeted Huston Street, in case the Rockies become sellers.
Several teams have interest in Matt Murton.
