Dallas Cowboys Stadium Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

It’s now official Cowboys fans!
Our brand spanking new stadium was christened during a special ceremony yesterday attended by a small throng of special dignitaries.
Hundreds gathered for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Wednesday including Jerry Jones, Wade Phillips and other members of the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff.
Plenty of former Cowboys were also on [...]

Tragedy in Dallas - Team Scout Paralyzed

The Cowboys issued a release moments ago announcing that Rich Behm, a scouting assistant, sustained a fracture to the thoracic spine that caused a severing of his spinal cord and permanent paralysis from the waist down. Behm underwent surgery Saturday night and remains at Parkland Hospital in stable condition, according to reports. Jerry Jones and coach [...]

Jason Garrett Needs To Be The Cowboys MVP

Here we are, three weeks before the draft and unless we make a blockbuster trade to move up or sign Holt or Harrison our offense right now is probably the offense that will start the 2009 season.
Now that we cut loose our most explosive offensive weapon (which I still believe is a huge mistake) we need to focus on what we need to get that sixth title.
Jason Garrett in my opinion needs to be the MVP of this team in order for the Cowboys to compete. MVP meaning... the most valuable play-caller....

49ers Release Preseason Schedule, Sign Marvel Smith

I know you all have been waiting for this. The 49ers released their 2009 preseason schedule with dates and times still to be determined. Hooray for useless games!
Broncos @ Bill Walsh Field at Candlestick Park
Raiders @ Bill Walsh Field at Candlestick Park
Cowboys @ Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Jerry Jones’ new billion dollar stadium
Chargers @ Qualcomm Stadium, Dean Spanos’ billion year old stadium
The 49ers also announced the signing of free-agent tackle Marvel Smith who has started 108 games at right tackle with the Steelers since he was drafted in 2000. Smith however has missed 14 games the last two seasons because of a herniated disk. Smith went to the Pro Bowl in 2004 and will most likely be the starting right tackle. The oft-injured Jonas Jennings was released to make room for Smith on the roster. Jennings has missed 42 games the last four years he spent with the 49ers. Hopefully Smith’s injury is fully healed and the 49ers will have a right tackle who can start all 16 games next year.
Even with Smith signed and as the presumed starter there are rumors the 49ers may still use their 10th pick in the draft on a tackle.

Confirmed: Tony Romo Will Play Sunday; Jerry Jones PWNS Wade Phillips

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show Friday morning that Romo "looks like he'll be able to play Sunday." Jones said there was no chance that Romo could re-injure the pinkie because of the cast-like protection on his hand.

"It will be up to him. If he is feeling good and the pain is good, then it's likely he'll play," Jones said. "It's down to can he handle the pain?"

Open Letter to Terrell Owens Regarding Usain Bolt

This week, Terrell Owens was quoted on HBO's Hard Knocks as saying, "I Could Beat Usain Bolt If I Got a 20-Yard Head Start." I am not impressed by this at all. I hope an NFL pro-bowl wide receiver could beat Bolt in this race. What I would like to do now is make a challenge to TO.

I formally challenge TO to a race. I am a 30 year old white kid who has run less than 100 miles in my life. To prove how weak TO's claim is, I bet $25,000 that I can beat Terrell Owens in a 100 ...

Pacman Jones Could Play Wide Receiver

Channeling the true spirit of Deion Sanders, Pacman Jones could wind up playing some wide receiver for the Cowboys. Apparently the Dallas Morning News wanted to see if there [...]

Live-blogging a radio show is a great idea. What? You think I'm being sarcastic? Seriously, though, reading a "live blog" of a radio show sounds like a terrible way to spend the day. Even if it does feature Pacman Jones talking about cops, strip clubs and Jerry Jones.

Darren McFadden runs a 4.27 forty

If OT Jake Long didn't impress you yesterday, maybe RB Darren McFadden will. McFadden just ran a 4.27 forty-yard dash. This right now is his unofficial time, but it looks like McFadden didn't hurt himself by running at the combine. Matter of fact, he might have made himself the top pick with someone looking to trade up to get him. (Somewhere, Jerry Jones is drooling.)
