Defensive tackle Kellen Heard, who has played in 23 career NFL games, was signed. He appeared in eight games with the St. Louis Rams this season. Chapman was activated from the physically unable to perform list Nov. 12, but was inactive the past two weeks as the Colts evaluated to see if the rookie from Alabama had recovered enough from a knee injury to play this season. Colts head coach Bruce Arians announced Monday that Moala had suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Moala, 6-4, 310 pounds, started in all eight games he played in this season and recorded 21 tackles (11 solo) and one pass defensed. He was inactive for three games.
