Pistons’ usher Shannon Sailes is a better dancer than you are

The Pistons are as broke on entertainment value as Bill Laimbeer was on the ability to elevate.
They have paraded out such acts jokes like Coolio, Martha Reeves and the Vanhags and Debbie Gibson (still hot for the record) with hope that people will stay passed halftime. They even sacrificed Brandon Knight nearly get killed by DeAndre Jordan just to make a top play on SportsCenter.
The halftime shows are hot trash, the product on the floor is barely better and the food quality at The Palace makes you consider a stop at McDonald’s prior to the game.
The best thing going is a guy that they pay solely to look at ticket stubs. His name is Shannon Sailes and he’s the star of The Palace and it has nothing to do with ticket stubs. Randomly during games, Sailes will be put on the jumbotron with tunes pumping and he’ll dance his face off. He’s 45 now and has been teaching himself how to dance since he was five.
He recently spoke with Jim Schaefer of the Detroit Free Press about his prolif...

The Dirty Dozen and Bottom of The Barrel: Bad Creatures

Eh. How's this for a theme week?

How can you lose? A horrible looking movie starring Debbie Gibson and Tiffany?

Cheesiest stuff ever:

Bwahahahaha!

With this much cheese, how could a college football season ever go on? Especially when it's all but pre-ordained that Alabama is going to win it all again. They finally broke a sweat last week vs. LSU, but then made it look easy driving for the late TD.

Sure, Oregon has put up Video Game numbers but we don't buy the "They Play Defense Too" thing until they play someone good outside the "HIGHLY OVER-RATED" Pac-12.

SHARKTOPUS!

Anyway...

Last Week: 14-0. That's more like it. Though thankfully, we don't pick the Spread. For the season--101-22, much more impressive.

But enough about us: Quoting Dozen favorite Casey Kasem, it's "On With The Countdown"....

THE DIRTY DOZEN:

1) Alabama 9-0. Can anyone beat these guys? Uh...not likely. And no, Joh...

Donald Trump rips Alex Rodriguez on Celebrity Apprentice (Video)

Sadly, I haven't been keeping up with NBC's Celebrity Apprentice this season but looks like the Donald decided to take a shot at Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.

During a recent episode, Trump compared a comment made by Forte team member Debbie Gibson to being Derek Jeter-like and then proceeded to rip A-Rod:

Donald Trump takes shot at A-Rod on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ (Video)

Donald Trump couldn’t resist taking a shot at Alex Rodriguez during his “Celebrity Apprentice” show Sunday.
The Donald was praising ’80s singer Debbie Gibson for saying she didn’t care who got the credit on her team when he invoked a Yankees reference.
“That’s all about winning,” he said in response to Gibson’s team-first attitude. “That’s cool. That’s a Derek Jeter-type statement, right? We love Derek. That’s not an A-Rod statement — that’s a Derek statement.”
A-Rod was asked about Donald’s swipe and wouldn’t respond, saying he’s only talking about baseball issues.
Trump also took a shot at the Yankees third baseman after A-Rod made the final out in the ALDS loss to the Tigers, calling him “a less than average baseball player now that he is unable to use drugs,” so clearly he has it out for the former MVP. Though boring, it’s probably wise that A-Rod didn’t respond.
You can watch Donald’s jab in the video below:

Lazlo's Clicker - The Walking Dead Returns! Smash, Karmin Wows SNL

HighlightsThe Walking Dead returned last Sunday for the much anticipated continuation of its second season. Season 2 had gotten some criticism for being a bit slow moving in its first half, but it appears that complaint will be a thing of the past for the upcoming group of episodes. Hit the title/read more to continue reading. . .image source

When we last saw our band of survivors, they had just exterminated the contents of Hershel’s barn, over his objections. That part of the story resolved this week, as Hershel (Scott Wilson) sadly acknowledged he’d been wrong to think he could ever “cure” the walkers of being dead. Hardest hit by Sophie’s death were, naturally, her mother Carol (Melissa Suzanne McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus), who had made a substantial investment of his own self-worth in finding Sophie. Shane (Jon Bernthal) is now openly hostile to pretty much everyone - he’s a timebomb that’s ticking more loudly than ever.On the new storyline front, Maggie (Lau

Busting ass and shutting up

var addthis_product = 'wpp-252';
var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":true};Took a run this afternoon, started thinking about a chat I recently had with a young journalist. He came to me seeking advice on how to make it. I’m not 100 percent sure what making it means, in a universal sense. Some people are rightly happy covering preps for the local weekly. Others have ESPN on Bust signs dangling around their necks. It’s all perspective. Happiness is the ultimate success. Contentment, too. We often forget that, in the name of high-profile gigs. As I’ve learned through the years, “high-profile” is overrated. Oftentimes I miss standing alongside a prep sideline, watching Yorktown and Panas battle it out.
I digress.
If I were to offer two bits of advice to the aspiring writing, it’d be this:
1. Bust ass. Work harder than the other person. Make the extra call. And the other extra call. And the other extra call. Also, be unconventional. Be different. Think outside ...

Celebrity Apprentice: Meet the Most Connected Cast Yet

Celebrity Apprentice host Donald Trump has been touting this season’s crop of contestants as “the best cast we’ve ever had.” We’re not sure about “best,” but the cast certainly has an unbeatable following on social media.
The celebrities’ social networks could help them in challenges that require their teams to raise the most money to win. One Facebook status update or Twitter missive from a contestant could rally followers — even fellow celebrity followers — to donate money during one of those challenges.
Trump and NBC producers likely monitor each contestants’ online sentiment — so fan comments on social sites and message boards also could sway who Trump fires when the season begins Feb. 12. Producers might want to keep contestants that incite significant online buzz, which may translate to better TV ratings.

Rumors swirl as winter meetings begin

The GM
Winter Meetings starts today in Dallas and the event holds plenty of
promise for adding new faces to the roster - including potentially finding a
starting pitcher to complete the rotation.

The Twins
were aggressive with the left-handed Chris Capuano but ultimately lost out to
the Los
Angeles Dodgers when the veteran decided to sign for a two-year, $10 million
to stay in the National League last week. Nevertheless, reports surfaced that
the team
has been connected to free agents Jeff Francis and Edwin Jackson.

Jackson is a
fairly young (28), right-handed power arm (averages 94.5 miles per hour on his
fastball) who has been a 3-wins above replacement the previous two seasons and
is now poised to command a multi-year deal which we estimated to be in the ballpark of three
years at $11 million per year. Francis,
on the other hand, is a slightly older (31 in 2012), left-handed soft-tosser
(managed to average just 84.7 miles per hour on his “heater”) who has averaging
2-wins above replacement th
