The NFL's 5 Worst Arrests Of 2012

5. Justin Blackmon - First round pick Justin Blackmon of the Jacksonville Jaguars was taken to jail for his second DUI within the last two years back in June. Although Blackmon is new to the league, there's a growing DUI problem among players throughout the NFL. 44 percent of arrests made involving an NFL player in 2012 have been drunk-driving related. And players seem bent on driving under the influence. Another DUI arrest for Blackmon in the future will leave him riding the bus until after he's retired.

4. Jarriel King - The Seattle Seahawks released Jarriel King after his arrest on charges of criminal sexual conduct back in February. His removal was swift, but the arrest brought back memories. Sexual assaults among NFL players don't occur with the same frequency as driving under the influence. However, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger brought the issue to light in recent years when he found himself facing multiple allegations of sexual miscond...

Smart signing! Things to know about the Seahawks Frank Omiyale

Omiyale is on his way
This isn’t the most sexy off season roster move the Seattle Seahawks have pulled off since the start of free agency, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t important.
Last Wednesday the Seahawks released Robert Gallery, some may wonder if it was to make room to bring in former Seahawks guard Steve Hutchinson (not that he needs introduction if you are reading this).
I doubt the Seahawks released a player with hopes to sign another, it makes no sense.
If that is what the Seahawks wanted to do they could have waited to sign Hutchinson before they released Gallery.
The release of Gallery likely has more to do with the fact that he is an aging veteran who killed 4 drives last season because of stupid mistakes that you don’t expect from your veterans.
He also missed 4 games due to injury last season.
Monday the Seahawks released reserve offensive lineman Jarriel King after news got out that he was being charged with third-degree sexual conduct where he and another man allegedly raped a 25-yea

Seahawks OT Jarriel King Arrested For Sexual Assault, Gets Released

Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Jarriel King was arrested last month after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman who was highly intoxicated, Live5News.com in Charleston, South Carolina, via ProFootballTalk.com, reports. On Monday, the Seahawks announced that they have released King, reports Eric Williams of the Tacoma News Tribune. According to the report, the victim was drinking and smoking marijuana with King and Arthur Lee Denson-Holmes in King's apartment, after the three went to a nightclub, they returned to the apartment where they continued to drink and smoke. The woman felt dizzy and light headed and laid down on a bed, where the two men allegedly disrobed the victim and sexually assaulted her despite her telling them to stop. King and Denson-Holmes were arrested and posted $25,000 bond. Source: Mac's Football Blog Attached Thumbnails

Seattle lineman and former Gamecock Jarriel King accused of sexual assault

Crazy week for the Seahawks. They land Jason Jones and Matt Flynn via Free Agency, and now this. Word coming out of Seattle Seahawks camp today is that backup offensive lineman Jarriel King was arrested last month for "allegedly sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman in Charleston, South Carolina.
Earlier today the Seattle Seahawks announced that they have released King, reports Curtis Crabtree of KJR Radio in Seattle.
ProFootballTalk.com first reported this news, and now the Tacoma News Tribune's Eric Williams confirmed the report. King, who played college football at the University of South Carolina, then was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent, started one game for the Seahawks last season. He played for the Gamecocks back in 2010. Quote: According to the report, the victim was drinking and smoking marijuana with King and Arthur Lee Denson-Holmes in King's apartment.
Week 15: Seahawks at Bears (Game Thread & Post-Game R-Rated Thread)

Injuries (or lack thereof) should have a major impact today. For one, no Seahawks have been ruled out for this game -- the only question mark listed on Friday's injury report was backup OT Jarriel King. The same can't be said for the Bears, who listed both their starting QB Jay Cutler and starting RB Matt Forte as out for the game. The way Seattle's defense has been playing lately, they should eat backup RB Marion Barber and backup QB Caleb Hanie alive.
The biggest concern I have coming in to this one is the Seahawks' offensive line. Last week they struggled early to contain St. Louis' d-line, but bounced back with a much stronger showing in the second half. So if Rams DEs Chris Long, Robert Quinn, and James Hall gave Seattle's backup OTs Breno Giacomini and Paul McQuistan that much trouble, how will they fare against Bears DEs Julius Peppers and Henry Melton? The outcome of this game may very well depend on the answer to that question.

Sehawks List OG Robert Gallery As Probable Vs Bears

The Seahawks released their final injury report for the week after practice on Friday, and relatively speaking it's not too shabby. Only tackle Jarriel King is listed as questionable - turns out his hamstring is in fact still bothering him, with Doug Baldwin (ankle), Kennard Cox (hamstring), Leroy Hill (neck), Tarvaris Jackson (pec), David Hawthorne (knee), Raheem Brock (calf), Robert Gallery (hip), and Richard Sherman (knee) are all listed as probable and likely able to play.
RENTON -- Left guard Robert Gallery left Monday's game against St. Louis in the fourth quarter and sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He returned to practice Friday, though, and is "good to go," according to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.Seattle will release its final injury report on Friday afternoon before leaving for Chicago, and Carroll indicated that offensive lineman Jarriel King will be the only player listed as questionable.
No Surprises on Eagles Inactive List

QB Michael Vick, WR Jeremy Maclin, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and OL King Dunlap were all ruled inactive for the Eagles Thursday Night Football showdown in Seattle.
No surprise there as all four were ruled out with injuries Wednesday.
And the rest of the Eagles inactives were players widely considered as fringe players anyhow as rookie OL Julian Vandervelde was once again ruled out as were recent practice squad addition LB Greg Lloyd and DE Phillip Hunt.
The Seahawks inactive list was OT Allen Barbre, DB Jeron Johnson, OT Jarriel King, DE Lazarius Levingston (awesome name alert!), DB Byron Maxwell, LB Adrian Moten and QB Josh Portis.Photo Credit: Getty Images
