Earlier today I posted that XPRS-AM radio reporter Marty Caswell in San Diego reported there was a rumor going around Invesco Field in Denver that Broncos Coach Josh McDaniels had “taunted” the Chargers linebackers before the Broncos lost to San Diego 32-3.

Chargers Linebackers Shawne Merriman and Stephen Cooper confirmed to Caswell after the game that [...]

Stephen Cooper Says This Team Is The Best He’s Been On

Chargers middle linebacker Stephen Cooper tells NFL Network analyst and former offensive lineman Brian Baldinger that this team is the best he's ever been on:"This is the best team I've been on; the guys are coming back off of injuries, everybody is healthy. That's the biggest thing about this team. Shawne [Merriman] is coming back and he's looking better than ever."Baldinger takes us behind the scenes at Chargers Park as he tours the facility and visits with some of...

Off to the Bahamas

I went to the Bahamas this past weekend to help Alex Smith, TE for the Tampa Bay Bucs with his 3rd annual kids' football camp. A bunch of guys came like Stephen Cooper, Greg Camarillo, and Stan Wilson - just to name a few. It's important for me to always give back because I believe good things happen to good people. Alex is doing a great thing by trying to expose the Bahamian kids to football to try and get them another out and help them have successful lives. There are currently 4 Bahamian football players in the league: Alex Smith, Devard Darling, Samari Rolle, and D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Not bad for a small lil island. These guys all come back every year and raise money for the kids to help them with life skills as well as physical skills and learning the game that we all love.

The great thing about doing this camp in the Bahamas is that it leaves time for play after all the work. I did a bunch of cool things such as ride the water slides, ride wave runners, and party the night away. All in all I had a great time seeing a bunch of old friends and helping out the kids. Everyone was great? except the staff at the hotel we stayed at ? The Cove on Paradise Island. And I thought the food sucked at my hotel, too. Didn't stop us from having a great time, though.

Well, it's almost that time for the season to start. I get a lil more excited every day.

Chargers Sign SS Clinton Hart To A 5-Year Deal - GridironFans.com

Chargers strong safety Clinton Hart agreed to terms on a new five-year contract Monday that will keep him in lightning bolts through the 2012 season. ''We are very happy to have Clinton as a part of our future,'' Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith said. ''He was a first-year starter last year and was a major part of our team's success. We believe his best football is ahead of him.'' After spending three seasons as a key reserve and special teams player with the Chargers, Hart became a full-time starter for the first time in 2007. He started all 16 regular-season games and all three playoff games at strong safety. During the regular season, Hart was the club's third-leading tackler with 109 stops, trailing only Stephen Cooper and Matt Wilhelm. He also finished second on the team with five interceptions and tied for second with four tackles for loss.
