Wainwright for Carpenter, Carpenter for Wainwright, Somebody for DeJesus

At the P-D they're taking good advantage of the Cardinals' dual Cy Young candidates, as they've gotten both Wainwright and Carpenter on record as being Spartacus. (I would have liked one more, maybe PINEIRO: Why Joel Pineiro should win the Cy Young.)
For my money Wainwright's take on Carpenter is more interesting:

But we should talk about this year. This year he just out-executed everybody. If he wouldn't have lost that time because of inj...

David DeJesus and Chone Figgins the answer for the Mets?

According to MLBTR, David DeJesus and others are available from the Royals.

Here we are: the Top 30. I plan to go through them 6 at a time and then do a wrap up/overview of the Royals system. Since we are doing only 6 at a time, I'm able to squeeze in some previous years' stats as well as a few pictures. I'll go a little more in depth for my comments.

Royals notebook: Club officials promoting DeJesus for Gold Glove

He’s far from a neutral observer, but count Rusty Kuntz among those pushing Royals left fielder David DeJesus for Gold Glove consideration. “Wow, he’s playing as solid a left field as I’ve ever seen anybody play,” gushed Kuntz, who serves as the club’s outfield coach. “He has a better understanding of the importance of positioning — where to move on certain hitters.

Royals notebook: DeJesus hoping interleague games provide key to unlock production

CLEVELAND | Perhaps outfielder David DeJesus can use the boost that interleague competition typically provides to jump-start his disappointing season. The Royals open a 15-game stretch tonight against National League opponents when Cincinnati comes to Kauffman Stadium for the first time since 1999. Arizona and St. Louis complete a nine-game homestand before the Royals hit the road for Houston and Pittsburgh.

Lineup Literacy: Week 3

The first two weeks of the 2007 Fantasy Baseball season are about to come to a close. That means that now's the time to put the last 2 weeks behind you and turn your attention to week three. While the first 2 weeks of the 2007 season have been frustrating to many as rain, sleet, and snow have postponed many games, comfort can be taken in the fact that those games will be made up at a later date. Those mid-summer makeup games will come in handy during the stretch run of your fantasy season. That is of course if you can keep your head above water until then. If the weather and cold starts has your head spinning already, just remember the season is a marathon and rabbits don't necessarily make good long-distance runners. All you can do is make the most of every free agent move and put the right guys on the field. Fortunately the GNUru is here to help with your week 3 lineup decisions.
