Tim Byrdak and Andres Torres both took part in today’s game. Torres looked good running the bases and Byrdak looked like his old self on the mound. With all the bad talk surrounding the Mets this spring, they look like the most put together team in the NL East. I’m not saying they look like they’re going to win it all or anything but they have everyone in place and they aren’t scrounging for leftovers like the Braves and Phillies. They know who is leading off, unlike the Nats and they aren’t looking combustible like the Marlins. If I had to handicap the division, the Mets stand a good chance of a quick start and that would help keep them relevant. The Indians did it last year and so did the Diamondbacks, the DBacks even made the playoffs. I would say the Marlins are going to win the division followed by the Phillies, Mets, Braves, Nats.
