Oakland Raider position analysis: Wide Receiver and Tight End

The position of wide receiver is the biggest need in the offense. I stand by my earlier assessment that having an "elite" wide receiver is overrated, but a team does need multiple quality receivers. Ronald Curry led the Raiders in receiving for the second straight year, and Jerry Porter had a few big plays, but showed he did not want to be in Oakland. Johnnie Lee Higgins never impressed and Tim Dwight was nothing more than a stopgap after the failed Mike Williams experiment. The tight end position, on the other hand, is set with young quality players in Zach Miller and John Madsen.

Oakland Raiders least likely to return to the Silver and Black

The Oakland Raiders' roster is chalk full of free agents. There are several that the Raiders will most likely retain, but there are several others that will have to find another home this offseason. Besides, the free agents there will be several other faces that will either be cut or traded or in the case of Warren Sapp retired, so that the Lane Kiffin and Al Davis can bring in the talent to get the Raiders back on top. Lets look at those who will no longer be in Silver and Black when the team opens the 2008 season.

Tim Dwight Injured: Pigs Still Not Airborne, Taxes Still a Guarantee

Well ladies and gentlemen, those who had Week 13 on the office Tim Dwight injury pool, start cashing in. Pretty late in the season for glass Tim to be playing. Dwight will be out for the season with a foot injury. The guy was a great Madden player, with his near perfect ratings on speed, and running a fly. Sucks that his career has been marred with injury, but a lot of his hype had to do with the fact that he was a speedy white guy, and that he was involved in a big draft day trade.

Link is to some old Tim Dwight fansite that hasn't been updated since about 2001. Kind of funny to look, as he is written as if I here . Did you know Tim Dwight averaged 12.5 yards per carry in High School?
