The Indianapolis Colts used the 27th pick of the draft to select former Connecticut Husky running back Donald Brown. Brown shot into the first round after a stellar combine performance that included a faster-than-expected 4.51 40-yard dash. Will he share the backfield with Jospeh Addai or is this a changing of the guard in Nap Town?

The Indy Colts have taken RB Donald Brown at #27. Brown seems an awful like Joseph Addai and is overrated in my opinion. While he has good speed and can catch, he may not be a franchise back. I dont see a lot of toughness or great vision. Colts may regret this pick. Grade: D+

Eagles to "definitely" take a RB in first round, looking at Donald Brown

Word on the street says there’s a 99% chance the Eagles take a running back in the first round. With Buckhalter going to the Broncos and Westbrook coming off a season full of knee problems at 30-years-old, it’s safe to assume the Eagles will use one of their first two picks to take a RB despite the “Eagles never use a 1st round pick on a RB” mentality.

The Eagles should essentially have their choice of Beanie Wells, Knowshon Moreno, LeSean McCoy, or Donald Brown. I’ve written about the first 3 backs on this site before, but I haven’t read too much on Donald Brown, who apparently the Eagles really like. Donald Brown is a 5′10″, 210 pound UCONN RB. Syracuse: Well, they go the man they wanted...maybe. Doug Marrone is the new Head Coach. But some are not too happy about the hire.

South Florida: The St. Pete Bowl is a few days away, and the talk isn't about the offense or defense...it's about those damn catwalks at the Trop! Will a punt hit one?

Rutgers: The football team turned their season around, but the athletic program is still a mess. The cash-strapped department has approved scaled-down improvements to the stadium.

UConn: Great news for the Huskies, as star RB Donald Brown has opted to stay in school. Brown was the Offensive Player of the Year in the Big East this season.

West Virginia: Interesting article about how WVU and their Bowl foe UNC share a common bond of slander directed from Hollywood. Gotta love the movies!

Pitt: The "Self Made All-American"...that's what they're calling Scott McKillop. He was selected to the FWAA's Annual All-American Team. A great story, for a very hard-working individual.

Louisville: It was a big weekend recruiting for the Cards. Three committed Sunday, including Juco QB Adam Froman. He threw for 40 TD's last season.

Cincinnati: The 'Cats should consider themselves lucky that Brian Kelly is still the coach. Another accolade for Kelly yesterday, as he was named the Sporting News Big East Coach of the Year.
