Blue Jays’ SS Munenori Kawasaki is MLB’s best stretcher

Toronto Blue Jays’ Munenori Kawasaki is becoming famous for reasons outside of his baseball skills. The 31-year-old is currently hitting .225 but is finding other ways to entertaining his fans. Here was Kawasaki’s unique stretch before Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Kawasaki has had some previous gems.

Don’t mind Muneori Kawasaki. He’s just preparing for a baseball game the way that any Major League player prepares. Right?

1. The smoothest mechanical bull ride ever. Solid form.

For those scoring at home, Kawasaki went 0 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and a throwing error. Back to the drawing board.

Jays infielder amazed by Sandoval's tats

This moment of childlike wonder took place during batting practice prior to the Giants-Blue Jays game at Rogers Centre this past Wednesday night. Toronto shortstop Munenori Kawasaki has a look of sheer amazement on his face as he gawks at Pablo Sandoval’s massive arm and tattoo work, which seems strange since Kawasaki hails from Japan, aka The Land of the Rising Tentacle Porn. Unless Sandoval was showing the Jays infielder a huge pimple that looks like Golda Meir, we can’t really see what would be so impressive as to cause Kawasaki’s eyes to nearly pop out of his skull in wonder as he gently touches Kung Fu Panda’s arm.
Sandoval wows Kawasaki

The San Francisco Giants have crossed the border for a series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Whenever two teams who rarely play each other face off it makes for an interesting batting practice. Well Pablo Sandoval and Munenori Kawasaki got together and it was safe to say that Kawasaki was left speechless. Pablo decided to show Munenori his tattoo sleeve on his left arm and well here just take a look at Kawasaki’s face.
What do you think Kawasaki was thinking?

Munenori Kawasaki Can’t Get Over Pablo Sandoval’s Ink

The San Francisco Giants are in town (or country, I guess) to play the refurbished, but still terrible Toronto Blue Jays.
During the pre-game armistice ritual of batting practice, the Giants affably chunky 3rd baseman, Pablo “Kung Fu Panda” Sandoval showed off his many tattoos to the Blue Jay shortstop Munenori “Energy Boy” Kawasaki. “Energy Boy” expressed his amazement which, in turn gave the rest of us an adorable baseball moment.
Kawasaki is starting to develop a reputation for doing weird things. Which I guess makes sense for a guy who calls himself “Energy Boy.”

Toronto Blue Jays: Munenori Kawasaki is a fan favorite

I my last article, I commented on how well Munenori Kawasaki has played since coming in to filled the void left by Jose Reyes as he recovers from his ankle injury. Apparently, he has now become a favorite among Toronto Blue Jays fans. Imagine that.
John Gibbons
As for the Blue Jays themselves, it was another disappointing weekend for them as they lost two out of three games to the New York Yankees. ”We got to play better baseball, ” said Jay’s manager, John Gibbons in the post game press conference after losing 5-3 in the 11th inning. No argument here. The Jays have got to get a winning streak going if they want to play in October.
Despite his reservations about ball club, Gibbons feels that they are not out of it, yet.
In game one of the series, the Jays lost 9-4. Jay’s starting pitcher, Brandon Morrow, didn’t have a good night on the mound. He gave up nine hits, five earned runs, one walk, and only struck out four batters in 5.1 innings pitched.
Despite losing the second ...

Like the word "suck..."
Ah, Canadian television...

She stumbled across Blue Jays shortstop Munenori Kawasaki and his dancing skills...
Evidence below...

So, she decided to show Kawasaki's bosses and get all of their reactions...

She confronts Kawasaki at the 2:05 mark...and tries to match him...

Could Munenori Kawasaki Become A Fixture On The Toronto Blue Jays?

The Toronto Blue Jays signed infielder Munenori Kawasaki on the 02nd of March during spring training without any fan fare or media attention. Kawasaki had played 61 games for the Seattle Mariners batting under the Mendoza line after a successful career in the Japan Pacific League where he won two Gold Glove awards. Kawasaki was assigned to Triple A without much thought as minor league depth in the event of an injury. Well low and behold the Blue Jays were looking for a shortstop after Jose Reyes suffered a badly sprained ankle sliding into second base. Kawasaki was promoted and seemed at the the time would fill the void until General Manager Alex Anthopoulos could wheel and deal a viable replacement. After three games it is safe to say that Kawasaki has impressed and may be winning the hearts of the Blue Jays faithful with his exuberance and style of play. Kawasaki has been a factor in all three games, bunting then stealing a base, hitting a sacrifice fly and cruising to a triple al...

Munenori Kawasaki shows off dance moves in Mariners dugout (Video)

Seattle Mariners infielder Munenori Kawasaki watched most of Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox from the dugout, but he kept himself loose with some dance moves.

Your browser does not support iframes.

Cameras caught Kawasaki getting down multiple times, including the end of the third inning and again at the end of the sixth inning, giving a good laugh to his teammates and to the Mariners television broadcasters.

Kawasaki finally entered the game in the bottom of the ninth as a pinch runner but did not score.

What Could Munenori Kawasaki Bring To The Seattle Mariners?

Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson tells us Munenori Kawasaki says he's been invited to spring training by the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners had a backup short stop on their wish list for this off season, but they may get a replacement starter instead. Danny goes on to say if he were Brendan Ryan he'd be calling his agent and hitting the gym. What about Nick Franklin?
