Lo Duca Packs Shit, Gets the Fuck Out

Farewell, douchebag. Just as I specifically requested two and a half months ago, Paul Lo Duca is leaving Washington. Better late than never.
The Nats cut him yesterday, along with Felipe Lopez (Jennifer must stay, however) and Johnny Estrada, both of whom I have no problems with other than their inability to play baseball well. The [...]

Pedro Feliz to the Philadelphia Phillies: The Fantasy Impact

In an attempt to fill a big void at third base, the Phillies went out and signed the best third baseman on the market (that is, whatever was left of it). Feliz is a much better real player than he is fantasy player, but there is still value here. Feliz is a terrific defensive third baseman, and according to defensive analytical statistics, he was actually the best defensive third baseman in baseball last season. He also has some pop too. He's been a steady 20-HR hitter since 2004, and has...

Baseball Musings: Alou Steals Home

Bonus points for those playing the streaking Alou in the playoffs. With Alou on third, Ray Durham tried to steal 2B. Johnny Estrada tried to nail him there while a frisky Alou came home. It wasn't exactly the same as Carl Crawford's steal from third earlier in the season, but it will look the same in the boxscore. It was Alou's second stolen base of the season.

Over the last 14 days, Moises Alou is hitting .386 with 5 HR, 7 Runs and 16 RBI. The man can still play when healthy.
