Sean Jensen of the Pioneer-Press just tweeted (did I mention I’m also on Twitter?) that the Vikings have cut cornerback Charles Gordon. We of course recall Gordon’s one memorable 2008 moment - that awful-looking broken ankle he suffered while returning a punt against the Packers. Gordon missed the rest of the season after that, but was primed for a comeback attempt with the Vikes this training camp. Sadly, that will not happen now. Vikings cornerback/punt returner Charles Gordon suffered a nasty ankle injury when his leg got stuck under a Packers player while Gordon was returning a punt in the first half of Sunday's game at Minnesota. As you can see in the video, Gordon's foot was pointing in the wrong direction once the play had ended.
