      <title>Washington Capitals April Prospect Update</title>
      <description>&#160;

	Caleb Herbert finally found his form in March after a difficult start to the season.

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University &#8211; 19

	No real surprise here, but Riley Barber, quite possibly the Caps top-performing prospect this season, had another sparkling month this March. The freshman appeared in eight games as the Miami University RedHawks closed out their regular season and enjoyed a solid but ultimately fruitless playoff campaign, recording one goal and four assists to add to his tally of 15 goals and 24 assists in 40 games. His -2 rating leaves him with +9 on the season. Barber ends the season as the top freshman scorer in the NCAA and Miami&#8217;s second-best point producer. He&#8217;ll return next season with expectation heavy on his shoulders as the go-to guy for the RedHawks, and should have a big role to play for Team USA at the 2014 World Juniors.

      <title>Washington Capitals March Prospect Update</title>
      <description>&#160;

	Tom Wilson was dynamite in February.

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University &#8211; 19

	Sixth-round pick Riley Barber, who celebrated his 19th birthday this month, had another mind-boggling month for his Miami RedHawks, appearing in eight games and scoring five goals and three assists for eight points. He was also +3. Barber has been simply dominant so far this year. He has toyed with defensemen. In a game against Lake Superior this month, he took 10 shots. Few, if any (one of which may be fellow Caps prospect Christian Djoos), NHL prospects have seen their stocks rise as much since the summer as Riley Barber, and with his 14 goals, 20 assists, 34 points, and +11 rating in just 32 games in his freshman NCAA campaign, a promising NHL career might be closer round the corner than we all thought.

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University &#8211; 18

	Freshman Riley Barber had another month to remember for the Miami RedHawks, but not before he ended his World Juniors debut in style. In the three January championship round games, Barber scored two goals, one assist, and went +2 to help lead his Team USA to the gold medal. He ended the tournament with three goals and three assists in seven games. Barber has also been in fine form with his NCAA team. In January, Barber, who turns 19 this month, appeared in six games, scoring one goal and three assists and going -1. On the season, Barber now has nine goals and 17 assists in 24 games. He has a +8 rating.

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University - 18

	Riley Barber has continued on the tear of a start to his rookie career. And December was huge for him. In five games, Barber had two goals and three assists and was +2. On the year, Barber now has eight goals and 14 assists with a +9 rating through 18 games. Despite this, his biggest achievement came in his inclusion in the Team USA World Juniors team, where he starred on the first-line alongside Miami teammate Sean Kuraly and Montreal Canadiens prospect Alex Galchenyuk. Through four preliminary round games, Barber scored one goal and two assists and was -1.

	First-round selection Tom Wilson turned it on in November

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University - 18

	After an incredible first month of his NCAA career, Riley Barber continued his outrageous play into November. The freshman appeared in seven games for his Miami RedHawks this month, scoring two goals and seven assists to go along with a +7 rating. Barber has now appeared in 13 games in his college career and has six goals, 11 assists, 17 points (which leads all NCAA freshmen and his RedHawks team), and is +10. Incredible numbers for a first-year&#8230;

	It was a solid month for New Hampshire senior Greg Burke until injury ended it. He had appeared in four games, and had two goals and one assist with a +2 rating, but suffered a shoulder injury and has not played since November 16. <title>Washington Capitals November Prospect Update</title>
      <description>Freshman forward Riley barber has been nothing short of sensational so far...

	Riley Barber

	RW - Miami (Ohio) University - 18

	No Caps prospect has had a better start to the season than Miami RedHawks forward Riley Barber. In fact the 2012 6th-round pick has already established himself as one of his team&#8217;s go-to offensive players, with four goals and four assists through the first six games of his NCAA career. He has also racked up a plus-3 rating. Barber was named the CCHA Rookie of the Week twice in a row and was named the national NCAA Rookie of the Month of October. Not a bad showing for a freshman&#8230;

	Greg Burke

	C &#8211; University of New Hampshire (NCAA) &#8211; 22

	Senior Greg Burke is in his last season of eligibility with the Caps, and needs to impress to earn a contract. His start has certainly been decent. In his first five games, Burke has notched one goal and one assist to go along with a plus-2 rating. The 22-year-old will likely still need to be better, but it&#8217;...</description>
