Entry List for the Toyota Save Mart 350k at Sonoma

credit: getty images

There are 43 cars on the entry list for the Toyota Save Mart 350k at Sonoma Raceway. Last year it was Clint Bowyer who found victory lane by making all the right and left turns.
There will be a few new additions to the field this week as many teams have opted to have road course “ringers” instead of their usual driver.

NASCAR Flashback (2008) – Wimmer Wins First NASCAR Nationwide Series Race In Nearly Five Years

LEBANON, Tenn. (March 22, 2008) — Kyle Busch’s loss was Scott Wimmer’s gain.
Busch dominated Saturday’s Pepsi 300 at Nashville Superspeedway but lost control of his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota off Turn 4 after leading 125 of the first 162 laps.
That handed the lead to Richard Childress Racing’s Clint Bowyer, but RCR teammate Wimmer passed Bowyer for the lead with 20 laps to go to notch his first win in nearly five years.
Wimmer is also the first non-NASCAR Sprint Cup driver to win a NASCAR Nationwide Series race this season and the first since Jason Leffler won at O’Reilly Raceway Park last July.
“Stepping down and running a partial schedule in the Nationwide Series is not what I want to be doing, but those are the cards that are dealt to me right now,” Wimmer said. “I’m with a great team with Richard
Childress Racing and have great teammates. You can struggle in a single-car operation or a lower-budget team, but that’s not where any driver wants to be.
“I’m just trying to do the

Homestead: Entry List for Ford EcoBoost 400

Entering Homestead this weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings are not as close as they were one year ago. Still, there are plenty of reasons to take a peak at Sunday’s season finale.
Brad Keselowski leads five-time Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson by 20 points going into Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. To win the championship Keselwoski simply needs a finish of 15th or better, or 16th and at least one lap led, or 17th and the most laps led.
Many eyes will be fixed on the cars of Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon. After Bowyer made slight contact with Gordon, the four-time champion turned Bowyer into the wall. What ensued was something straight out of the WWE. It should come as no surprise that there always seems to be the chance that someone will provide a little pay back in the seasons final race.
There also are a handful of drivers making their last appearances for teams. Matt Kenseth will run his last race in Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 17 while Joey Lo...

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry list for Texas

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry list for Texas Motor Speedway has been released. There are 46 cars currently entered into the AAA Texas 500. Three teams will go home after qualifying.
Jimmie Johnson will start the race with a two point lead over Brad Keselowski. Johnson has one career win and 13 finishes inside the top-ten which accounts for a 9.7 average finish. Keselowski has started 8 races at Texas but has never finished better then 18th.
Other notables worth keeping an eye on this week include Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin all of which have multiple wins at the 1.5 mile track. Biffle won the spring race leading 90 of 334 laps.
