17th for Jason Bowles at Phoenix

Jason Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports team continue to impress people each weekend and Phoenix was no different. Driving the 505 Southwestern Chile Sauce/Honor and Remember No. 81, Bowles brought the team their 17thtop-20 finish of 2012, with a 17th place result.
“It’s great to have a good result to show for our teams efforts this weekend,” explained Jason after the race. “We were able to stay on the lead lap all day long which was key, and put us in position to run for a strong finish in the closing laps. I’m so proud of my guys for all the hard work they put in this week out here in the heat. They have been working on the race car since Tuesday here in Phoenix so it’s great to give them a good finish.”
Jason’s 17thplace run marked the second top-20 finish this year at Phoenix for himself and the team. It was also Jason’s 17thtop-20 finish of the season. Bowles still remains 13th in the driver standings following the weekend.

MacDonald Motorsports is proud to announce that Honor and Remember will be prominently displayed on the hood of the #81 for Jason Bowles this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. Honor and Remember is a national non-profit organization that aims to establish a tangible national symbol of gratitude as a visible public reminder to all Americans to recognize the sacrifice of our military fallen heroes and their families.
“MacDonald Motorsports has consistently given tribute this year to our nations gold star families,” explained Honor and Remember founder, George Lutz. "It is very appropriate that this Veteran’s Day they continue to remember our fallen military heroes.”
Lutz has traveled more than 25,000 miles to all 50 states in order to urge the display of the flag by governments, businesses and individuals. He has delivered personalized versions of the flag to hundreds of families who have lost a loved one in military service, regardless of generation.

Jason Bowles Finishes 23rd at Richmond in Random Acts/Energize Ministries No. 81 Dodge

Jason Bowles brought home his 18th top-25 finish of the season thus far Friday night in the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan 250. Driving the Random Acts/Energize Ministries No. 81 Dodge Challenger presented by ITEX, Bowles kept his nose clean and was able to record a lead lap finish for his team at Richmond.
“Jason drove really hard all day,” explained crew chief John Monsam. “In the end we lost a few spots when our tires went away but Jason did a nice job of keeping the car underneath him and bringing it home in one piece.”
After practicing in the 30th position, Monsam and the crew made some changes to the car for qualifying. The changes worked as Jason was able to grid the Random Acts/Energize Ministries No. 81 into 21st position for the race.
Bowles ran as high as 17th during the 250 lap race Friday night at Richmond. The tires started to go away on the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 Dodge in the late stages, dropping Bowles back to a 23rd place result.

MacDonald Motorsports will highlight Random Acts again this week in Richmond. This time however it will be with the help of ITEX, a national membership trade exchange! When Don Swartz, a broker with ITEX of the Triad heard about the "pay it forward idea", he wanted to get on board and help. Don and ITEX are also using this opportunity to help draw attention to one of their other members, a NC based non-profit - Energize Ministries.
“I love representing such a great group of people!" explained Bowles. “It’s great to have companies such as ITEX to help raise awareness for groups such as Random Acts and Energize Ministries. As far as the race, Richmond is one of my favorite tracks and I’ve been looking forward to getting back here since the spring race. We’ve have a couple good finishes in a row here so hopefully we can keep that going Friday night.”

Jason Bowles Ready to Rock Atlanta Motor Speedway with Sponsor Random Acts

MacDonald Motorsports is proud to announce that Random Acts will be featured on the No. 81 of Jason Bowles this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Random Acts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time. Bowles and the team are excited to represent such a great organization on the No. 81 for the NRA American Warrior 300 this Saturday night.
“I learned about Random Acts through their director, Cinde Monsam,” says team owner Randy MacDonald. “Without sponsorship for Atlanta, I presented them with the opportunity to be highlighted on our racecar this weekend and they were thrilled with the opportunity. It will be great to have Random Acts on the car, and hopefully this will inspire people to perform more random acts of kindness in their daily lives.”

Jason Bowles and American Majority Racing Prepare for Bristol Motor Speedway

After back-to-back weeks of road racing for Jason Bowles and the American Majority Racing No. 81 team, the series returns to its roots of short-track oval racing this weekend. “The World’s Fastest Half-Mile” will play host to the NASCAR Nationwide Series this Friday night with the running of the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Jason on Bristol…..“The new surface at Bristol is really going to even out the playing field going into the race this Friday night. I think everyone is interested to see what the racing will be like. We ran okay there in the spring so I’m hoping we can make some improvements to our American Majority No. 81 this time out.”
New surface = more wrecks??...After the spring race at Bristol, the track was modified to narrow up the groove and create closer racing. The extra banking on the top groove has been removed since the last race and eliminated the topside from being the preferred line. Will the new surface bring the racing at Bristol back to what ...

Brake Failure Ends Strong Run for Jason Bowles and No. 81 Team at Montreal

Jason Bowles was on his way to possibly the best finish of his NASCAR Nationwide Series career Saturday in Montreal.
Running between 10th and 15th throughout the race, Bowles was just waiting for the final segment of the race to make his move to the front. Unfortunately, the right front brake failed on lap 61 heading into the hairpin corner, sending Jason into the gravel. The team fought hard to get Jason back on the track and were able to salvage a 26th place finish.
“We were just biding our time out there and preparing for what we knew would be a wild finish,” explained Jason. “The car was driving really well and then we had that brake failure on the right front that ended our shot at a strong finish. I really have to thank my American Majority team though as they just never give up, even on the bad days.”
“Jason’s a really good road racer and he was doing an excellent job,” says crew chief John Monsam. “It’s unfortunate what happened with the brak...

Jason Bowles and American Majority Aiming for Top-10 at Montreal

If there was one race that Jason Bowles had circled on his calendar at the outset of the 2012 season, this was it. This weekend, Bowles returns to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for second time in his career racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the NAPA Auto Parts 200. One year ago, Jason notched his career best finish in Montreal, recording a 13th place result.
Jason on Montreal…..“Montreal is one of those tracks that can really bite you if you aren’t careful,” explained Bowles. “Everyone always goes for it all there and it can cause a lot of accidents. If we can avoid some of the early messes and stay out of trouble, this will definitely be our team’s best shot at a top-10 this season. I learned a lot running there last season and I hope we can use those notes to make our American Majority No. 81 Toyota a front running race car.”
Long week for the crew…..Right in the middle of a 16 race swing with no off weekends, the MacDonald Motorsports guys have a very long week in New Yo...

Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team were well on their way to another top-15 finish Saturday night in the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway.
After starting 22nd, Bowles had worked his way to 15th place by lap 100 and was looking for more. Unfortunately, his MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 lost the brakes a few laps later, sending him to the pits. The team worked extremely hard to get back in the race and were still able to salvage a 29th place finish.
“We had a really fast car for the first 100 laps and Jason was moving up nicely,” explained crew chief John Monsam. “The brake issue was definitely unexpected but I’m very proud of the way the guys got the issue resolved.
The American Majority No. 81 Toyota was a little loose at the start but the car had a lot of speed in it. Picking off the cars one-by-one, Jason was happy with the car and ready to challenge for a possible top-10 finish.

Jason Bowles and American Majority Racing Feeling Confident Heading to Chicagoland

Jason Bowles and the American Majority No. 81 Toyota team head to the windy city this weekend for a rare Sunday Nationwide Series race.
The STP 300 from Chicagoland Speedway will fill the void of a Sprint Cup Series race this weekend, running Sunday afternoon. With six top-20’s in the past eight races, Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports team are on an all-time high heading into the weekend.
Jason on Chicagoland…
“I’ve been running some laps on the simulator this week getting ready for Chicagoland this weekend,” explained Bowles. “The track has an interesting shape and I’m really looking forward to getting out there. It’s going to be a little different racing on Sunday but it will put us in front of a large audience which will be pretty exciting.”

Jason Bowles and American Majority Racing Finish 16th at the Magic Mile

Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team continue to impress everyone in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with another solid run Saturday at the Magic Mile in New Hampshire. Even after suffering a broken right rear shock mount before the 50th lap, Jason fought hard and maintained his cool, bringing home a 16th place finish.
After another solid top-20 qualifying run, Jason would bring the American Majority No. 81 Toyota to the green flag in 16th place. Even with no right-rear shock for most of the race, Jason ran between 14th and 18th all day. When the checkered flag flew, Bowles was running in the same position he started in, recording a 16th place finish for the team.
“I am very pleased with the way Jason stuck with it, that car didn’t look fun to drive at all,” explained crew chief, John Monsam, after the race. “We had a good car before the shock mount broke but it’s pretty tough to drive a three-legged race car. It was bouncing all over the place and Jason ...

Jason Bowles and American Majority Racing Riding Wave of Momentum into New Hampshire

Following his second top-15 run in the past 3 races, the morale in the MacDonald Motorsports shop is at an all-time high. Halfway through the season and on race five of a 16 race non-stop swing, Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team are very pleased with the way things have been going. Race 17 on the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule points to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the F.W. Webb 200 this Saturday. Jason on New Hampshire…..“I’ve never been to New Hampshire before but I know it’s a track that lends to some very hard racing. It’s absolutely beautiful in that area of the country and I’m looking forward to getting up there. The momentum our team has right now is great and I hope to keep it going this weekend.” Carrying Momentum…..Through the first 11 races of the season, Jason Bowles was averaging a finishing position of 25.45. The last five races have been a different story however. Fast race cars and good calls in the pits by crew chief John Mons...

Another Top-15 run for Jason Bowles at Daytona

Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team continue to knock on the door for their first top-10 finish of the season. After starting towards the back, Bowles drove through the field to match his best finish of the season with another 14th place run.
“The car was really good and the race was just a lot of fun,” explained Jason after the race. “John (Monsam) and the guys did an excellent job getting my American Majority No. 81 Toyota ready to race for a win. I’m really happy with the 14th place run; I just wish we could have held on for a top-10. ”
Bowles was running inside the top-10 when a late race caution set up a Green-White-Checkered finish. Unfortunately, Jason couldn’t find a drafting partner for the final two lap run to the finish, leaving him with a 14th place result.
The American Majority team has really been running strong for the past couple months. The 14th place run at Daytona marked the third top-15 for Jason in the last five races. Bowles remains ...
