Hard to find any real positional battles there. The best one is probably at tight end, where I'm hoping Garrett Mills, who showed flashes in the final game of last season, will push Visanthe Shiancoe. Maybe Marcus McCauley or Charles Gordon can make things uncomfortable for Cedric Griffin? Everything else looks set, barring injury or guys suddenly forgetting how to play. I'll continue to update this as camp progresses, reflecting cuts, and any changes in depth chart position.

Filling The Void Left By Pacman Jones...Vikings DB, Cedric Griffin

Okay, so Ced still has a way to go before he's on Pacman's level, but it has to start somewhere. Cedric Griffin got out with $50 bail. He was at the Spin nightclub and he wasn't abiding by the dress code which includes, no sagging.Witnesses say some bouncers stopped him and they argued which led to the police handcuffing him.

Don't you Hate Pants? The Vikings Do.

Just another day in the NFL and Vikings land. Cornerback Cedrick Griffin was maced in the face and arrested.

"Two witnesses told KSTP-TV that the Vikings cornerback was thrown out of the Spin nightclub for not pulling up his pants. The club has a dress code requiring that pants not sag below the waist."

I know saggy pants are in, but it's not worth taking pepperspray to the face for. C'mon fellas.

The Vikings Are Playing Catch-up To The Bengals

New owner, new philosophy, new rules, not so new behavior. And now for some not so shocking news...an NFL player was arrested, but it wasn't Pacman Jones or a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.

"Minnesota Vikings cornerback Cedric Griffin was freed on $50 bail after being arrested early Sunday in downtown Minneapolis and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, authorities said."

Misdemeanor disorderly conduct. What a vague term. Now to what Griffin really did...

Two witnesses told KSTP-TV that the Vikings cornerback was thrown out of the Spin nightclub for not pulling up his pants. The club has a dress code requiring that pants not sag below the waist.

A class act indeed. Griffin should just be thankful that football, not basketball, is his sport...I have a feeling he would have a problem with Commish Stern and his NBA dress-code he enforces all season long.
