Catcher John Baker was not in the lineup Wednesday, one night after being removed from Tuesday&amp;#39;s game because of a stiff back. He is hopeful he can play in today&amp;#39;s 1:30 p.m. matinee.
Baker said he felt the pain - which is in the left side of his lower back - two weeks ago but it &amp;quot;started acting up&amp;quot; Tuesday.

It wasn&amp;#39;t that long ago that Marlins Get your Marlins Tickets now! catcher John Baker was making $15,000 per season in the minor leagues, then working two jobs in the offseason to make ends meet.  Baker, who spent six years in the minors before being called up last July, is now making the major league minimum of $400,000.
