The Nippon Ham Fighters on Tuesday announced the acquisition of former Atlanta Braves pitcher Buddy Carlyle. Buddy goes to Japan This is probably a good move by Carlyle. He would likely only have gotten a minor league deal with a team in the states. It's also possible that he wanted to go back to starting and this was a means to an end.

Campillo, Carlyle, and Nunez granted free agency Pitchers Jorge Campillo, Buddy Carlyle, and Vladimir Nunez were all outrighted to triple-A by the Braves, then granted free agency. I'd like to point out that I predicted all of these moves. Reid Gorecki was also outrighted to triple-A, but he is still under club control. (hat tip: sddbaker)
