Is Fernando Martinez on the block or not...

It would have to be an awfully big trade for the Mets to include top prospect Fernando Martinez. It was just three years ago that farm fans dreamed of an all home grown outfield, by 2010 they had hoped for a Milledge, Gomez, Martinez ( one of them coming off the bench with Beltran here) outfield roster. Things haven't worked out as planned, Gomez and Milledge have been traded and both are onto their third team. Martinez was the prize of the group but his progress has been stunted by injur...

This season shortstop Wilmer Flores seems to have overtaken outfielder Fernando Martinez as the Mets top prospect. That said, there are many scouts out there who don’t think either of them are all they are cracked up to be.
Yesterday, Tim Bontemps of the NY Post reported on what one scout had to say regarding the Mets number [...]

Church has been playing center because Fernando ...

Is it time to CASH-IN on Fernando Martinez?

The Mets have a opportunity to make some personnel moves (trade) while they are in striking distance and only 1 game out..... But, the Mets seem to think that they will have a healthy Beltran , Delgado, Reyes, and maybe Putz after the All-Star break...They also have a chance to get Billy Wagner back, who seems to be making head way. This maybe the reason we have not seen any moves yet...

But the Mets do have Fernando Martinez , a guy who the Mets are infatuated about..

It might be time ...
