San Diego Wallops Astros on 11 Run 1st, What Goes Around, Comes Around After 38 Years

On July 30, 2007, the San Diego Padres pounded the Houston Astros from the opening pitch in winning a wild and wooly slugfest by an 18-11 score.

The Padres lit up Houston for 11 runs in the first inning capped by twin two-run blasts to leftfield by centerfielder Mike Cameron and 1st baseman Adrian Gonzalez. 15 Padres paraded to the plate in the 1st inning to batter Houston starter Jason Jennings and reliever Mark McLemore from pillar to post. As if a consolation, the Astros came back with 7 runs of their own as they attempted to climb back into a game way out of control.
