So many injuries requires its own blog

This week's injury report raises a question from yours truly: What's the deal? The Colts list every single nicked-up player, guys who have been playing with minor injuries for weeks, something they didn't do before. Don't know if the NFL is cracking down on these things and demanding the utmost in compliance or maybe another team complained about these guys. Anyway, here's the laundry list.

Week 12: Wednesday Injury Report

It looks like the Colts have changed the way they use the report and are now listing some players who have injuries, but did not miss any practice time. This, along with a large number of players missing time makes for the longest Colts injury report I've ever seen. Unfortunately the list is not just long but star studded.
Did Not Participate: Antoine Bethea (foot), Keyunta Dawson (knee), Aaron Francisco (Ankle), Dwight Freeney (Abdomen), Anthony Gonzalez (knee), Kelvin Hayden (knee)...

Day to day is the catch phrase

Ask any injured Indianapolis Colts player his status and he's going to say, "I'm day to day."

I was somewhat surprised to see DE Dwight Freeney in the locker room today, then he pronounced he, too, was "day to day" despite reports he will miss at least the next two games with a strained right quadriceps.

Freeney says he's a fast healer and sounds as anxious as a man can be to get back on the field. (Will have more from Freeney's chat in another post.)

STUDYING THE BEST

He spent the offseason studying pass-rushing techniques of some of the NFL's best tackles.

2 Biggest questions for the Colts

Reality #1: The running game was smoke and mirrors last year. Addai

face is getting the run game back into it. I don't think they have to
talent to block for it. I think they have upgraded at the tailback
position. Putting those things together still doesn't make a run
game. You gotta have both. With that in mind, I think that old Tom
