The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos have agreed to a contract with free agent defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday amidst their massive roster cuts. Holliday is a 33-year-old veteran who at 6'5" 288 pounds is a solid defensive lineman who started for the Dolphins last year. The Ravens are now actually one player under the 53-man roster.? Here are today's cuts: TE Adam Bergen, QB Casey Bramlet, DL Darrell Campbell, WR Patrick Carter, G Adrian Clarke, DT Amon Gordon, WR Justin Harper, RB Alex Haynes, TE Keith Heinrich, G Adam Kraus, LB Robert McCune, RB Allen Patrick, CB Ronnie Prude, T Joe Reitz, T Chad Slaughter, LB Gary Still, WR Ernie Wheelwright, DL Lorenzo Williams, and WR Matt Willis were waived. The team also put RB Cory Ross and corner David Pittman on IR.? The team will also be without CB's Fabian Washington and David Barrett are both suspended for the first game.

Fans arrived to McDaniel College with yet another beautiful day in store. Throughout the course of practice, their numbers reached beyond the estimated 3,500 mark, including a group of youngsters from the Police Athletic League sponsored by Daniel Wilcox. As the sun began to rise, several players came out as early as 30 minutes to work on drills and get ready for the day's events. Defensive back Evan Oglesby was joined by receiver Matt Willis to work on catching the ball. The pair traded off sharing the ball machine, which rifled passes at chest level to the players ten feet away. Soon thereafter, the pair was joined by Clarence Moore, Devard Darling and Damien Linson, all well before the eight o'clock hour. Jared Gaither also came out early to work on the blocking sled to perfect his hand technique. As players filtered out to begin their warm up drills, there was a quiet, workman-like atmosphere about them. Even the crowd seemed to sense that something wicked this way comes.
