In yesterday's interview on NBA Roto, I predicted that Daequan Cook (-6.1) would go out in the Heat's very next game and shoot 2-10 and finish with 5 points. Well, he actually shot 2-9 and finished with 6 points. Close enough for me to toot my own horn. He did hit a couple threes and grab 8 boards, so it wasn't quite a biggest loser performance, but I believe this is the Daequan Cook we're going to see the rest of the year.

Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Already mentioned Ricky Davis, so next up would be Daequan Cook (4.07) with 23 points on 5 threes. He only shot 9/20, so he passes the 70% rule. He jumped from a season average of 20 minutes to 29 and 43 over the last 2 games. And his name is an uncommon spelling. Not that I know a common spelling of Daequan. I guess if you have a spot, go for it and see if he keeps up the minutes and performance while Wade sits. More fantasy analysis after the jump...

In case you haven't noticed, the Sixers are tied for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games, while the New Jersey Nets are 3-7 in their last 10. Both teams are now 12-16 heading into Friday's games, but it is the Sixers who are going in the right direction. It's time to start realizing that this team is ready to contend. NOW.
